I have visited Disneyland numerous times and i can say it is awesome... especially Buzz Lightyear's astroblasters, the Monorail, and Autopia!

Thanks, everyone!! More pics!

If you ever go to the Jazz Lounge inside Club 33, you should try their Filet Mignon Chili. I know... why would you do that to Filet Mignon?! But... if you like normal chili then yo know that filet mignon is waaay better.

It's Halloween time!

Sir I have to single you out and say your photo's throughout this thread have resparked the inner kid in me again (as my dream was always to visit one of the Disney Parks but of course time and work make you shelve such dreams or put them off). I'm talking to the Mrs tonight to begin a savings plan to get us there. It may take years but better late than never :wink1:

Colour me Jealous I'm so glad you guys love it so much it makes me know it's gonna be worth the effort! :hi5:

That's great! You know, living where I do, I often times forget just how lucky I am to be so close to Disneyland. To me, it's just normal. My friends are there, I'm there, it's our second home. It's been awhile since I've gone in with someone completely new to it but that has always been a fun thing to do.... to see the park with new eyes. But there's also so much history and stories behind everything that someone coming in for the first time may not pick up on, but hopefully they become fans and want to find out. And I think that's the great thing about these parks are the details, the layers, the stories... there's more to everything than just going to a mall and seeing a store that replaced an existing store.

Lol at the old goat, great way to finish.

Loving all the Nightmare before Christmas pics I'll have to show my partner when I get home that's one of her favourites

It was interesting to read the Disneyland is scrapping Luigi's Tires ride so soon. It didn't realized how it was plagued with problems. It wasn't really a good ride but I'm glad I rode it when I did. From now on it will be a small footnote in the history of the park... kind of like the old Flying Saucers ride in which it was based.

My son even bought a Luigi tire hat.

Yeah... it's just not fun at all. The line doesn't reach 5 minutes EVER anymore and even then people don't wanna ride it. A Fiat ride would be cool and keeping in the theme of it.

And now that Guardians of the Galaxy has moved on, they're previewing Big Hero 6 in the Magic Eye theater...

Weird to see the telephone poles all over behind Tower of Terror.. Ive only been to Disneyworld where you dont see any outside stuff.. because..well there isnt any

Yeah, I've mentioned once or twice that the ride is awful. :lol

It's a shame, because the concept makes it seem like it should be fun, but it's just such a sluggish, boring ride.

Yep, Walt Disney learned from Disneyland very quickly that if you don't buy all the land around your park, someone else will and you'll have to deal with sight lines and all that. Here in Southern California, we've "mostly" gotten used to it... but DCA was kind of absolutely the worst. Eisner built DCA without a berm (the perimeter of the park that shields guests from the outside world) and now it would cost a fortune to redo it. Cars Land has helped to a degree, and that is why they built it up so high, so that you're at least blocked from the Anaheim Convention Center directly behind the park. It's not perfect but... sigh.

I think the one thing at WDW that bothers me the most is the back side of Expedition Everest. You're driving up to it and it's just this unfinished mountain. The illusion is spoiled before you even get there.

Annnd here's pics from the Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar event: Mahaloween.

And a T-Shirt for Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. No word on whether Anaheim will get tees for Enchanted Tiki Bar but I'm sure it's in the works.
