congrats on posting your first thread :lol

Cant wait for this, ordering right after I get some Christmas $$

the behind pic also highlights the main issue with the 1.0, long torso and low hangin butt

I asked three zero about the visor light up feature and here is the answer. It's not going to change to match the movie.
Question: In the movie the red of his eyes is a light under the visor which is smooth. On the prototype you have the red light of his eyes as a band that goes across the top of the visor. Can you change it to match the movie?

Threezero: Please see this photo to understand how we plan the lights to look on RoboCop 3.0 collectible.

Thank you for your question and your interest in threezero collectibles.

I still might end up getting it though. I just think it looks cool even though it's not spot on. What's wrong with me?

How is it different from the way it was in the movie?

In the movie the visor is one solid semi-transparent piece that goes over the top of the face. The red light that goes across his eyes lights up under that piece so that the surface of his visor is completely smooth and polished like glass. The red light on the figure is a plastic transparent band that is cut into the visor so it's not a totally smooth, polished surface. It's also thicker than it was in the movie and it does not look like as good as the sleek, futuristic look of the movie helmet design.

You'll get over it eventually, lol. There was no way for them to do it the other way.

Yeah, I figure it might have been too expensive to have a similar light up feature on a toy. The material needed for the visor to work might be cost prohibitive and getting that light to show up under transparent plastic might be tough. I might still cave and buy it. Do you still have to pay threezero at the time of preorder if you go throughout their site?

Yeah.
All up front...
They way to solve the problem is to make the visor one piece in clear, spray it black from within, then mask it off from the inside with silver foil so only the part that is supposed to light up gets light, then have the light under the mask. But it's easy to say it and totally another thing to implement it on ten thousand units in a factory where the workers couldn't even afford one of these things.

I just found this statue that was made by K Soul. This is exactly how Threezero should be handling their visor. How cool is that? And it only costs $75.00, so price can't be too much of a factor, right? Machinery-Cop-2014-12-650x499.jpgK-Soul-Robocop-2014-Statue-003.jpg

It's a shame they didn't do it like the K Soul version. I would even have ordered direct from their store.

Does this guy have any waist articulation. I see some joints but they have not displayed him in any type of dynamic pose

I think so but you can ask on their blog. They are good at answering questions. They said the licensor already approved the prototype head so there will be no change on that. I think I'll just wait to see how the ninja turtles turn out now.
