I still can't for the life of me figure out why you've never been to SDCC. It's like a Muslim living driving distance from Mecca but never bothering to go.

. Money mainly. It'd be one thing if my wife didn't give a ____ about it and so I was driving down to bunk in someone else's room for a few days and hit the Con but she is dying to go to SDCC as much as I am. Which means hotel on top of gas money and we are both fully aware that I'm going to go spend my ass of once I'm there. It'll happen eventually, until then I'll just _____.

You don't have to deal with the ____load of _______s, the visual assault of 400lb women scantily wrapped in toilet paper cosplaying as Felicia, or the reeking, undead stench of the dirtbag fanboys who think the cost of admission entitles them to skip hygiene regiments the whole Con. Every year I've passed on going, I still nab all the SDCC exclusives I wanted anyway, for cheaper than the cost of travel and attending.

Ah, its not that bad there. Yes, you get some of that but overall its not that bad. I wouldn't trade going for anything really.

You don't have to deal with the ____load of _______s, the visual assault of 400lb women scantily wrapped in toilet paper cosplaying as Felicia, or the reeking, undead stench of the dirtbag fanboys who think the cost of admission entitles them to skip hygiene regiments the whole Con. Every year I've passed on going, I still nab all the SDCC exclusives I wanted anyway, for cheaper than the cost of travel and attending.

C'mon Nam, you've just listed a bunch of con attendee stereotypes. While I will admit that there are few of these people there, 98% of folks there are pretty cool peeps.

98% is being far toooooooo generous. I try to attend WonderCon every year since admission is cheap through my local LCS and it's driving distance. The attendance has gotten worse as far as all of those aspects. That's only a small taste of SDCC. You can also add in the bad manners of entitled ____s to that as well, with the line cutting, shoulder bumping, etc.. My daughter was repeatedly shoved out of the way by asswipes demanding autographs when a celeb was talking to her about cartoons.

You get some of that at Comic-Con but in the 6 years I've been going I've run into a small percentage of that compared the sheer number of folks there. Like I said you will get all of the typical con stuff like that but like IC said the number of folks who don't do that I believe outnumbers them.

That might be the case, but it really only has to happen once to ruin my experience. Especially after having to pull him aside and explain basic human decency (which anywhere else would've resulted in an ass beating). Then I spend the rest of the con waiting for it to happen again.
