HT has said LotR/Hobbit isn't real big in Asia, their primary market. Its more a European thing. And Americans just want to buy everything

then every license is, probably seen from the point of view of the Asian market.

Face it, Asia is becoming the focus group, so to speak. Dredd, being a UK comic, never had a chance.

If the film had been given a broader release, instead of restricting itself primarily to 3D, that wouldn't have mattered.
