Need a custom suit job for my Hot Toys Joker

they will need all the reference materials (high resolution stills, behind the scenes, pics of the costume from all angles, etc, etc) they can get.

just look through the thread, save them and give them to the people

Thanks for the links LockJaw. Give me a few days to a week at most. I will be asking around if anyone will be willing to make clothes at a smaller scale. It will also be good if you guys can give me a ballpark of how much you are willing to pay. That will give me an idea on the quality of materials that you will guys will be wiling to pay for.

I am trying to avoid the 500 mark cause it will be out of reach for most people. I am looking more at maybe 100 to 150. I think this will be a better range for most people.

That's great. I was just giving you my max as you asked for ballpark amounts from everyone.

100 to 150 would be sound.

Really hope we can get something going on this, pref near the mark on the pics in this thread.

Hot Toys may have really captured the correct colors
his inner coat does appear gray, the correct shade as Hot Toys' own
his suit is a dark purple

in certain lighting, his suit appears to be a Jack Napier purple, but in normal lighting
it's as purple as the Hot Toys one
my suit's colors are as purple as the Movie Masters Joker suit
in dim lighting, it's a like plum, but in sunlight, it can be bright purple
and in bright light conditions
it can be as purple as that poster we've seen where Joker is in the middle of the street

the guys used a combination of sunlight coming from a patio door
and a lamp (possibly used flash for it too)
looks as bright as that poster image

It is interesting how much the colour differs. I am not so much fussed about a change of colour, although perhaps I may like the coat SLIGHTLY more purple.

The lining of the coat should be orange though.

Mainly just interested in a higher quality material and better cut, like the proto pics in this thread.

Spoke to Harue about this. Said he cannot do a custom order at the moment, stacked with work until at least March 2009.

Also said that he would probably have to OK it with HT, so as not to burn any bridges with them. Would probably be less than $500, but he didn;t like to say.

Asked him to kindly keep me updated. really friendly, helpful guy.

also noticed one thing that should be corrected
Joker's coat tails should extend up to the bottom of the pockets of the coat
i noticed that with the posters and the Movie Masters Joker, middle coat tail should also be slightly shorter

Ok guys, my more than week long search have been unfruitful. Basically they can make something of this size but not as an acceptable quality and I will need to source out the material myself. Due to the unique design of Joker's costume, that is quite impossible as I do not have access to their supplier.

Harue told me is is way too stacked to start something like this until after Jan 09 at the VERY earliest. Even then, it is prob a pipe dream, as he would have to ask HT permission and acquire the correct fabrics. The cost would also be high and not many people here would be up for how much they would actually be.

Said he is hoping to do some more accurate Joker clothing in the future somewhere and I politely asked him to keep me informed/in mind.
