Hey, if you got it and are willing to spend it why not. But even that suit isn't accurate. There's still a belt and normal dress pants instead of clown like pants with a high waist and suspenders. The socks don't have the correct pattern. So those things would have to be altered to get it just right.

True, there are a few discepencies. But it still looks ten fold better than the mass ones, (which are incredible for mass still).

A shame no one else would be interested. I doubt I could afford 20 $500 suits! :)

Welll these were def the pics released just after the specs, and they were noted as proto HT shots. Also, holds true that they were working from very early promo Joker shots only.

The suit looks fantastic but even if I had the cash there is no way I could ever justify spending $500 on clothes for a toy that cost me much less.

I wish my grandma were 10 years younger, I have no doubt she could have made a 1/6 Joker outfit without it being to bulky no problem.

Right? I remember when I got that Incredible Hulk (the kind used in Robot Chicken jokes etc.) and not only did one of the legs break immediately but so did the pants. My mom told my grandma and I'll be damned if she didn't make some 1/6 scale pants with pockets, and the piece of material in front just like real jeans. Now being a kid I wasn't happy because she used gray material (lol) but now that I think about it those pants were pretty damn amazing. Like Fatso said, not bulky and oversized like 1/6 scale clothing I see nowadays.

R.I.P Grandma!!!

Just throwing it out there: if anyone is interested in these, and wants to get together to possibly commission something of this quality from Harue, (if even possible), lets try and get something going!

Ta.

i'd be willing to be the owner of one of the 20 suits ^_^

after looking through dozens of pictures of the suit
(since they all appear differently in the shades of light)
i'm liking this one

<a href="https://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll4/Improv_Queenxx/?action=view&current=mrjallthewaytr0.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll4/Improv_Queenxx/mrjallthewaytr0.jpg" border="0" alt="The Joker"></a>

(i guess it's the same shade of purple as the pants on the Hot Toys figure)

however, i really like this as well, really shows how grey the inner coat can be

<object width="450" height="362"><param name="movie" value="https://backend.deviantart.com/embed/view.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="id=97515585&width=1337" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><embed src="https://backend.deviantart.com/embed/view.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450" flashvars="id=97515585&width=1337" height="362" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object><br /><a href="https://www.deviantart.com/deviation/97515585/">Joker</a> by ~<a class="u" href="https://jokerqueenxxx.deviantart.com/">JokerQueenXXX</a> on <a href="https://www.deviantart.com">deviant</a><a href="https://www.deviantart.com">ART</a>

one of my biggest gripes of the Hot Toys figure is that it has no burnt orange liner
(the DCD Joker has a great shade of orange)
and also, the middle section of the coat tails is shorter than the ones on the sides
the collars as well, i put pins in mine to hold them below the shoulder and to keep the shape
of the reall collars, i think the Harue coat has more accurate collars, though they lack that sort of round curvature of the edges

500 bucks for 20 suits

which means if you could get 20 people interested they'd pay 25 for their own suit

or someone would pay 500 bucks
then sell the 19 suits to a buncha people

put me down on the list of people willing to pay 25 for mine
19 more! :faq

oh and i don't know how others would feel about this but
i'd want my suit to be dirtied up as it was onscreen
i want the little patches of white make-up around the coat collar
and the dirt on the front pants and around the coat

i don't know if Harue does that sort of thing to their products though

also, the pants must have attached screen accurate suspenders, to give the slacks that clown trouser look
NO BELTS

same here, 25 each
it's a wonder why everyone who got the Hot Toys suit isn't doing this
it's wayyy more affordable as well

i just want the most accurately detailed attire to go with the new sculpt
i love villains, Heath's Joker is my all time favorite
an accurate Harue suit would complete my appetite for Joker figures personally

Before you start organizing something like this LockJaw you should really get into contact with Harue because that $500 figure was kinda just thrown out as an example. That's not a firm number so the actual price could be less or significantly more expensive: i.e. you start organizing a $500 commission and later find out his asking price for 20 suits is $5000.. or that the minimum amount he'll produce is 50 suits for $10,000 etc.

Contact him, or keep trying. If the price is right (like $25 bucks as guessed in here) I would definitely chip in for that since I have a BR Joker coming and would love to put the main sculpt on a body with a v.1 suit. And you can't beat $25 for that. So do it to it fam.

yes, i realize that

i can't seem to contact them
well, if anyone can actually understand some of the writing, feel free to translate here
you can leave a message on their customer order forum
but looks like you need an account with them of some kind
seeing as you need a password to post your message
(i read an order someone wrote, he asked for a custom Joker outer coat as well as a suit to go with his custom made Agent 47 figure)

here's the link to the website:

here's their order forum

the pics i posted in the first part of the thread
i think show good reference photos for the suit
but just in case
here are more i found

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=wmplayer200811221426009tu2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/wmplayer200811221426009tu2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

the coat collars here are great

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=020.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/020.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=019.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/019.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

and for the most part, the suit looks like this in normal lighting

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=009.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/009.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

but in brighter conditions
should appear like this

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=022.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/022.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

this is the best photo i could find of the shirt and vest colors, as they should normally be colored
as well as the backing of the vest
if anyone can find a great photo of the backing, please post it
i don't know if it has a pattern or if it's just solid grayish-lavender

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=1zogp5d.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/1zogp5d.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Yeah it wouldn't be a matter of finding 20 people to pay $25 a piece, it'd be a matter of finding 20 people to pay $500 a piece. I threw that $500 out there because I know and have seen some mens suits that he does as limited runs in sets of 20 that cost $500 a piece. They are not as detailed as the Joker costume either so realistically you'd be looking at more per suit.

great pic of the cuffs of the coat

<a href="https://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/?action=view&current=dk0047tg2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/DanielDDJ/dk0047tg2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

and as it turns out
the backing of the vest does have a pinstripe pattern
here's a great reference pic of the tie and vest collars
though the Harue pics nailed it and the vest color too
