I was referring to Facebook Eric. I already know at least 10 people who have recieved theirs and are over the moon with it :)

That's good news Andy, in the end all we want to hear is how awesome the product turned out :hi5:

Yeah, we don't tend to hear from all of the happy people. Disappointed or pissed off people more likely to come to a forum that happy customers LOL.

When members here place their pre orders they post about it. When members here are waiting for months they post about it. When members here get the parcels on their doorsteps they post photo's of box porn. When members open their product up for the first time they post quick snaps or post DSLR quality amazing pictures. So, I don't believe this notion is legitimate.

Not all of them. We'd see much more activity on the boards if they did. We see and hear from a small fraction of them. We have a ton of lurkers (who outnumber members 3 to 1 most days) who of course don't say anything and I'm sure there's plenty of members who do more lurking than participating. That was my point. SS sold how many Batman PFs? HT sells howmany IM figures every minute? We only hear from a relatively small fraction of those collectors.

Your original statement was: we don't tend to hear from all of the happy people. Disappointed or pissed off people more likely to come to a forum that happy customers

Now it's: We only hear from a relatively small fraction of those collectors

While I do agree this forum represents a fraction of the collecting community as a whole, you've changed your tune. Not only the pissed off people post here, these threads are littered with very happy people as well. The show your shelves section is nothing but happy people pretty much.

My tune is the same. We do only hear from a fraction of the community and people do tend to speak more when they're upset than they do when they're not. Not including of course threads that are designed to be positive. I wasn't saying that happy people don't talk. In regards to threads about collectibles, I maintain that people who're unhappy with said product are more likely to say something than those who are happy with theirs. People with problems with their peice are usually more talkative than people who don't have any problems. The bad experiences are far outweighed by the good, but the bad ones are often louder and stir up more conversation than someone saying, "I got mine and I love it".

Then we'll agree to disagree, because if this forum was indeed an overwhelming majority of people posting just to complain about quality control issues I don't think it would have lasted as long as it has or thrived as much as it has.

Great pic, didn't know there was a light under the heel.
Gotta wonder if SS will do all of the Avengers at this scale, that'll be a huge display.

People are more likely to post negative comments and keep quiet when they're happy with their purchase?
Really?

Anyway, not many have come forward in this thread.
Think I'm correct in saying Two happy, one unhappy and one returned.
50/50 chance of getting a good piece for $2,000 :nono

Yes. That's what I'm saying. When someone has a grievance, they tend to share it. When people are content they're more likely to be quiet than someone who's upset.

We've gotten a bit off topic here.

Thanks Eric :hi5: couldn't agree more :)
