So I was looking through all the pictures and has anyone noticed that his elbows are never bent or straightened? They appear to be in the same position for all of them. Only switching the hands or pivoting the shoulders.

I know they will be before released, but I wonder if these are solid sculpts for the prototype?

You know what...I didn't even pay attention to that at first!!! But you're right...I wonder if there is any articulation at the elbow?!?! I'm still not buying it due to the head sculpt...but man that'll suck for those buying him if the arms are only poseable at the shoulder and wrist :slap

I'd imagine at this point in time they'd be thousands of these already produced, I cant imagine they'll be any changes guys :gah:
They can't produce a damn while it pending licensor approval.

As to whether it looks like Chris Hemsworth is matter of personal opinion.
Leads to ===>
Utterly silly comment.
:dunno

Whining is futile. At the end of the day, there is still only one that stands above all. The Thorminator.
DA DAN DAN DA DAN! DA DAN DAN DA DAN!

:lol:lol:lol:lol best post in this thread so far!

Haha just sold my original Thor yesterday!!! Looks like it'll be a while till I can get this to replace him but compared to the original this is gonna OWN!! Oh & I like the headsculpt, I will admit its a bit wrinkly but all & all I approve!

I agree, I thought I was overly critical with the first version, which I still think sucks. With the scrawny legs and the matted down hair looked like nothing in the movie at all.
I don't care for the hair all that much on this one either and with a few things changed in the face, mainly the eyes and brows its a much better figure!

wow...so Hot Toys has now hit that magic $200 for a basic figure with almost no extras.

Not to @itch too much, because I do actually like the figure but what the hell would anyone really be able to do with the accessory? All the left hands are open so none could even hold the piece, and I doubt very much anyone would display Thor without holding his hammer lol?

It's probably been discussed ad nauseam already, but that sculpt has a serious Dicaprio thing going on..

It may just be a lighting thing, but does anyone else think that the figure's breastplate/upper armor has a slightly different color scheme vs. what Hemsworth is wearing in the film? The figure's armor appears to have some dark blue highlights (closer to the blue of the pants), while the corresponding area on the movie version looks to be charcoal gray.

Looks pretty good, but in my opinion the collar area is all wrong. Seems they took at least one creative liberty with the design of the armor. Notice the piece that sticks up towards the neck. This is not present in the movie suit and seems like it could even limit head articulation with the hair being long. What gives?

You can see that it does curl up by the shadow.

I prefer this headsculpt, honestly. Same with the new Chris Evans one. Not sure why people are complaining since the likeness and expression of the first were abysmal, but whatevs. :dunno

Seems to possibly suffer from the same issue as Indy, it looks fine from certain angles and completely off in others. I really like the new body, but was needing an awesome HS to persuade me, as I already have the first version.

At this point I'll wait until in-hand pics start popping up. Lately, HT proto pics seem to have too much light, and don't make the figure look as good as they are.

As of now there are 2 Avengers on pre-order (cap&hawkeye) and 2 in the 'maybe' pile for me.
