I like the Avengers Thor, but the blue pants and the lack of a helmet drag the figure down a notch below the original Thor (with modded armor sleeves, of course).

I picked up the new outfit for my Thor V1. What you see here is the V1 body and head, with electrical tape wrapped on the thighs and biceps for extra bulk. The arms are painted V1 chain mail. The rest is all from Avengers Thor (Minus the boots which I'm still waiting on.)

I know he barely wears the helmet in the movie but he sure looks good in it. Thor always wore his helmet in the comics so I'm basing it more on that.

I prefer this version to the Avengers Thor, but may do the chainmail swap when I eventually get one...Looks a more complete Thor in my opinion!

you won't regret it. I think original Thor all of a sudden became my favorite Marvel figure after the mod and I have them all so that's saying a lot.

Does anyone know exactly how easy it is to swap the chain mail?

Can the metal arms just be bought or does the wadding/padding that goes under the chest armour have to be purchased aswell?

You can use just the sleeves on their own, but the vest actually fits under the armor as well.
