Was not *looking forward to spending $600+ on the old A1 Loki.

Pretty awesome how they are re-releasing/updating figures from A1. Iron Man, Cap, Loki... hoping a Thor or Fury is next.

Kotobukiya has announced their statue at the same time as well, sculpt looks better than what we are getting from HT and it has the correct skin tone too.

Ragnarok Loki has the closest likeness of Tom.

Wow Hot Toys is really disappointing lately.

I think I prefer ragnarok sculpt and helmet. I prefer this costume but it looks kind of cheap and puffy. It seems like they’re trying hard to convince me not to buy it

I think this one has maybe the slightest edge on likeness, but the expression of the old one puts it over the edge as being the God of Mischief.
Still, as surprised as I am by the release, it makes enough sense considering the aftermarket of the original.

Hot Toys looks at the aftermarket prices and desperately chase that money. At least they didn't just reissue one of the old Loki figures.

The fold of the cape seems to be the same as Avengers Thor.

Even the base of the hair has that weird fold, so it's the same figure I suppose.

I did a bit of adjustment, I think it looks slightly like Tom now.

I really don’t see any issue with the sculpt at all. Looks good to me. Easily is Loki/Tom. Can’t wait to get it.


And as always, lighting is a thing. Color looks fine in other pics.

I think I mentioned yesterday in another thread that i was surprised Loki wasn't given the Endgame treatment...
and here he is.
Can never have enough Loki in the collection!

Can you mention Scarlet Witch, Mantis and Valkyrie in that same thread, please? [emoji16]

It's a case of ''I'd know who it's supposed to be'' for me.

I've always felt like I needed a Loki in the collection but this sculpt might put me off from adding the character yet again. It neither nails Hiddleston nor does it evoke the character of Loki. Their very first sculpt of Loki at least did the latter.

Yeah, I don't mind it at all either. It has a similar mildly vague likeness like the last 2 of him, with some minor differences... Not perfect, but not so far off that it's a deal breaker.
