People are always complaining how they shouldn't so some adjustments or fixes because a figure is expensive. Nothing is perfect no matter how much money you pour into it.

Those people also drive up the cost of the figures with their actions making these already expensive figures more expensive in the end.

If you guys are referring to Eamon, he received a defective figure and is seeking replacement. You and I would too, if we received defective figures.

Oh yes I am referring to him as well as others. I am well aware of his elbow issue which of course requires changing. However the point I made above refers to his gripe about the hands not being able to hold the trident well. This is a small issue.

There are other minor issues in other figures, for example, one small loose part where it could be resolved by a simple dab of glue but there will always be that one person who will bring up how they spend hundreds on the toy and they shouldn't be expected to fix such things. These are not worth griping over or burst an artery to be honest.

atlas just arrived ,very impressed ,the likeness blows hot toys sculpt out of the water , this one looks intense where as the hot toys one looks vague to me like hes trying to remember where he was last night











head swap

emailed kit about the possibility of a head sculpt with non sculpted hair just waiting on a reply ,i think if it was well done that the likeness alone would be worth buying a extra head for

checking that he can grip his trident thing ,yes he can ,grips well ,

boots are improved since the proto pictures ,
hes a little shorter than hot toys but i think long ankle pegs would do the trick ,
body is oddly sculpted as noted before ,but to my eye its not too troubling as the tats and distract my eye from it , your mileage my vary

excellent for the $150 and change i spent on him

While I?m not a fan of the Hot Toys hair, the hair on that one looks even worse. Looks like Dragonball Aquaman. Paint also makes it look a little cartoony.

Yup there just had to be one didn't there.
Not that should have to explain myself to you but I have NEVER returned a figure and always sought to fix an issue which is something I have done many times over the years. IF you read my post properly you would see that I would not be returning it had it been just one issue. I returned it because it had TWO issues. The hands on it's own like you say is an easy fix (though I do wonder if the hands would just go back to where it was after some time had passed) but the elbow killed it for me. And who's "burst an artery" exactly?!

Have you tried the HT sculpt on the Atlas figure? I?m curious how that looks.

Is it terrible that I'm now seriously contemplating picking up the Atlas figure to make a close-enough Ronon? I was tempted to try it with the Hot Toys figure... But Hot Toys prices for a so/so headsculpt and a body that would be unusable as anything but Aquaman... Even the weird floaty hair would be kinda perfect to hollow out and stuff some fuzzy roving dreads in there...
