yes, very. besides the whole holding his gun issue, GREAT looking figure!

He can hold his rifle better if you remove the vest. I kind of like him without the vest because it shows off all of the details.

This is one of my oldest Hot Toys, purchased in 2015 from Sideshow Collectibles. The figure has some weight to it, coming to 1lb 6oz. While the figure aesthetically looks awesome, the articulation is lacking. I wish the legs could be spread further apart for crouching poses(the pants hinder the articulation) and the arms can't hold the rifle the way I would like it to, so basically the figure is best suited for a museum pose. I still love that Hot Toys tackled this project, they did a great job at making Briareos look like Briareos from Appleseed Alpha. Not sure why Hot Toys did not make Deunan from this particular film.

@shaunharris25 I have this figure as well. I liked the character in the animated movies I saw him in. Like you mentioned in your post, the articulation is a bit lacking so you're definitely limited in the poses you can put him in although I did manage to get him aiming that rifle that he comes with at one point in time. Currently he's in the nondescript museum pose. Maybe I'll change the pose up for some variety. Long story short he's a good figure to have and glad I have it.

wow someone bumped this thread and i realized i actually have the Alpha Briareos, but i have no idea where i kept it lol. or whether i sold it.

I've the first release HT did of Briareos and Deunan, probably two of my favorite figures they've made. I liked the Alpha design of her, probably have to customize one if I ever hope to own one.

i don't know about the alpha, i prefer the less military looks, and i actually prefer the cartoon more i know they aren't as cool as the 3D movie but the 3D movie wasn't really impressive, the black suits are cool.

i have all 3 HT figures from the 3D movie and also the 1/18 figures with the big robot. I think Wave or someone else did the action figure for the mecha too but it is always funny to see the wearer's arms exposed.

The Alpha Bariores has more squarish head. How are the HT rubber suits going? been some time since i get to check them out. i did not apply any protection on them.

The suits seem okay, I'm sure they're probably breaking down by now. I've had Deunans arms bent in the same position for ages now.

Really good time to get hot toys appleseed figures their value have tanked so much more than before and nobody seems to want these great figures.

Am currently tidying the 1st 3 figures. Rubber seems to hold up well. Am applying meqguire hyper dressing on them but too lazy to remove all the straps.

1st Briareos articulation really sucks. Cant hold any guns properly and the scope on the smaller gun keeps falling off even with tac.
