oh i love stirring up great conversation :lol

game wise though...

i probably won't be picking this up tbh (yes nicky, i know you're infatuated with the first), but it bored me quickly :(

You're dead to me

:lol:lol:lol

You know this game is gonna have one of those achievements like the first one where we have to play it for hours again. :hi5:

If it gives you a super weapon like the Mega Man blaster, I have NO problem with that.

New Dead Rising: Case Zero Details Surface
Written Tuesday, July 20, 2010 By Richard Walker

Set three years before the events of Dead Rising 2, Case Zero tells the prologue story of hero Chuck Greene and his daughter, who has been bitten by a zombie. Arriving at a gas station, his car is stolen and Chuck must inject his little girl with the Zombrex vaccine every 12 hours to prevent the infection from taking hold.

Dead Rising Producer, Keiji Inafune has told Andriasang that Dead Rising: Case Zero will double as the demo for Dead Rising 2, with a portion of the XBLA game playable for free. If you want to see the game through to its conclusion however, you'll have to fork out ¥500, which is the equivalent of approximately 600 Microsoft Points. Expect a price therefore of 560 Microsoft Points if Capcom is feeling generous, or 800 Points if not.

Case Zero - which will last around 3-5 hours - is set to shamble onto XBLA a month before the release of Dead Rising 2. You'll also be able to import your save into the main game, carrying over your character stats to start Chuck off with a boost.

Dead Rising 2 is due for release on September 28th, 2010 in the US with the UK and European release following on October 1st, 2010.

I'm playing through the first again and there's an achievment for where you have to play for about 16 hours.

7 day survivor. That's ridiculous imo.

Well, it was a launch title and most xboxs froze before you got that achievements, that was lame.

I might go for it if I'm up early one day with not much else to do. The hardest one surely right ?. Most of them seem quite difficult.

Well, the 5 and 7 day achievements are VERY easy if you have the mega man blaster (zombie genocider achievements) then everybody, even bosses, just die in like 2-3 hits from it. Then it's just finding the books and food and time.

Seems like game.co.uk, EB Australia, and JB hi-fi all have the outbreak edition but game.co.uk's price is lower then the rest. Are there any difference between UK's and Australia's outbreak versions?

Heh, they were handing the pens, bad-aids and posters out at GDC earlier this year, at a "inoculation boot" for the zombrex drug. no indication of any kind WHAT the game tie-in was, Except for the " use by" date on the pen's box. which was the release date for DR2.

Awesome promo, glad regular people are going to be able to get them .
