I’ve watched the entire series twice now and just love it. Perfect show and cast except Daniel’s son...terrible character.
Robbie and Miguel transformations were incredible. Great score too of old and new themes.

I shall add to the chorus of praise - just finished it, loved it. Here's my mish-mash of disorganized thoughts. Spoiler tagging I suppose:

Spoiler:

-Great dynamic of Johnny's actual son being taught by Larusso and then Johnny's divided loyalty in the finale with him seeing both the Kreese Cobra Kai way and the Miyagi way play out before him and having a vested interest in both sides. Great idea. That should make for some interesting stuff in season two

-All the paralleling with the first movie was great - the self-fulfilling prophesy of Miguel (?) losing Sam (?) much like Johnny lost Ali (?) in the first movie - yeah I'm crap with character names even when I like what I'm watching. Johnny told him that story as a cautionary tale but it ended up happening again anyway

-Perfect ending, went the more interesting route rather than the cliched way. Loved it.

-The show did a great job of showing how anyone can be or become an a$$hole or the good guy. The diverse/bullied kids kinda/sorta became the bad guys in places because of the way they're being taught - And while you're rooting for Johnny's lovable brand of a$$holery you have Larusso being another kind of a$$hole to him - yet his Karate remains the more honorable kind that he learned from Miyagi, now passed on to Johnny's son.

-Loved Johnny's response to his students tales of being bullied - 'my god'....you assume an outpouring of sympathy for the kids or anger at the bullies - 'what a bunch of pussies', nope - Johnny's just disgusted at the mode of bullying utilized by the new generation - texting and internet posts, not like in his day when bullying used to mean something

-The show didn't do what is often done now in disregarding previous, less popular entries of a franchise - it brought up Terry Silver (KKIII) - I personally have no problem with that as I think KKIII is underrated

-was not expecting Larusso's mom to appear again (same actress) or Kreese to come back right at the end

Overall really enjoyed it. Hopefully season 2 brings a little more of a budget and less of the goofy humor.

Really enjoyed the series. It was kind of annoying having Daniel step in and coach Robby at the end, I mean it was a little too predictable, but I'm glad they didn't have Robby win.

I hope Miguel is able to return to the way he was before his issues with Sam. I can see Hawk being a bit of a lost cause there. He's gonna be a bully next season.

Binged it in short order. Much better show than I expected, lot of nostalgic moments. Hope Elisabeth Shue brings back Ali with an i, seems like a sure thing.

Anyone watching? I'm already almost finished. Much the same as season one quality-wise - so great if you liked season one, not so good if you didn't. I'm enjoying it.
