    Statue Weta Announces Barad-Dur

Outrageously excited for this. Have been waiting for years. Personally, I like the no-eye too.

What Dinosauria pieces do you want Sideshow to make?

Right, I surely didn't, until Jurassic Park. Also, you make a good distinction between what was known to the Paleontologists and what made it into the low level popular synopses. No doubt a lot more was available than what trickled down into the accounts I was accessing.

What Dinosauria pieces do you want Sideshow to make?

:D Teasing aside, I do think I get your underlying point of view, which I would interpret something like this: These creatures lived 65-230 million years ago. The fact that we discover the remains of a given species 10, 50 or 100 years earlier than another does not make it of any...

What Dinosauria pieces do you want Sideshow to make?

Right on track with my thoughts. I like the solo pieces, and the Stegosaurus is my all time favorite. In gradeschool I made a paper mache figure of my own. It was put in storage and eaten by rats, unfortunately. Would also love an Apatosaurus (or Brontosaurus as we said when I was a kid)...

    Gentle Giant SDCC 2009 Exclusives!

Kind of glad that there's nothing here interesting to me. I hate missing out on exclusives that are "core" to the lines I collect.

The Indy Premium Format Figure Countdown/Discussion Thread

Very Cool. Actually, It's a similar story for my family. We were actually overseas at the time, in India. My Dad had been back to the states on a trip and had seen Raiders, and then later took Mom, Me and the 2 younger brothers to the theater when the film made it to where we were at. It's...

    eFX X-wing

Look's great. I love that these guys are picking up where MR left off on the high end ships. I'd love to pick this up to complement the Falcon and AT-AT, but am going to have to hold off for now unfortunately. Congrats to those taking the plunge!

The Indy Premium Format Figure Countdown/Discussion Thread

Got the long-awaited package today. I'm very pleased. :gun Things I especially appreciate: The likeness is top notch. The texture of the leather jacket, including interior lining and the tiny little quarter scale zipper. The golden sheen of the fertility idol. The great detailing on the...

GG Asajj Ventress and Count Dooku statue pics

I'm personally usually ho-hum on expanded universe, but this looks great. I may have to "expand my horizons"

The Official "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" movie thread *SPOILERS*

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread Agreed. It would be a tradgedy to have Saruman withough C. Lee. I highly suspect that all involved realize this as well as we do, and will take what accomodations are necessary to get him on screen. Probably this means as has been suggested...

    BEST WETA LOTR produced !!!

Since we each just get one vote, I'll agree and split these with you! ;)

    Life-size Busts??

1:1 is a tricky medium. Especially for human figures you run a real risk of feely "creepy" or "shrine like" imo. I think Sideshow's played it smart with their SW 1:1 by sticking with aliens (Maul is humanoid, and the ray park likeness is exceptional, but you notice the tatoos and horns befor...

Weta Original Aragorn vs PF Aragorn

Yes, Absolutely correct. And I'm a HUGE fan of the Weta Line - it is the thing that got me into film collecting. :peace The Weta Aragorn is one of the 10-15% of the statues which I don't have in my collection, btw. The poor likeness is one of the key reasons.

Ooops, it was a Bustup. No Thanks.

    Aragorn Premium Format!!!

Re: Aragorn PF!!! Wow. Mine is finally here as well, and the likeness is stunning. One of the best character likenesses to date on any figure IMO, and Viggo seems a bit difficult to capture. I think this one is a home run.

    SHORT ROUND!

Wow, it is a tough crowd. :whip I'll vote for "like it". TOD is definitely the least of the four IMO, but I think a generous assortment of supporting cast mini busts will make a good match for that upcoming king of all raiders figures - the Indiana Jones PF. :gun I saw a Marion with Monkey...
