SHE. LOOKS. GORGEOUS. Can you paint mine?!? This piece would have been so much better received with pupils. Look at the huge difference.

She's beautiful when determined and calm. Not so when angry. I'd rather this be a beautiful statue.

I prefer the calm, more determined face. Definitely. Please do that one. If the angry one could be an extra head, great, but calm for the win other wise.

Yeah this is how a Jean should be done Sideshow. Took years for ya'll to phone one in. This piece is the exact opposite, well designed: has a beautiful base, has a gorgeous face, and dyanmic pose.

Re: Jean Grey - Jim Lee Era I waited all this time, and she has no pupils, and the pose is just super awkward. The short haired head is just...no. :slap:slap:slap:slap:slap

Re: Jean Grey - Jim Lee Era You're right...that Red Sonia looks more how I imagine Jean to look and way more in line with the comics. :( Did it really take 4 years to get this out?

Re: Jean Grey - Jim Lee Era Why did they go with that pupil-less, ugly ass pony tail from the animated series? That was a horrible portrayal of Jean and it's just an ugly look. And to top it off, her face isn't even pretty. Waited more than a year for this and it's just fug. I LOVE Jean. How...

Re: Jean Grey - Jim Lee Era Let's hope they get creative and use other materials to make it PF. I'd rather it look nice and not use pajama cloth rather than force it just to make it a "premium format". Sooo nervous. haha

Re: Jean Grey - Jim Lee Era About time Jean gets some love. But really hesistant about her arm pose covering, the source art which isn't really Jim Leeish. with the fails of the last few X-Men PFs, I'm afraid for pajama Jean when it could be fully sculpted except for a jewel on her head.
  13. Chronotrigger

    Possibly Jean Grey?

We just want Jean ok? lol The Lee costume wouldn't look very good in PF, and should be fully sculpted. Jean's Phoenix, Marvel Girl, and New X-Men looks would work better for PF.

Re: Rogue PF Yes but we're talking about the early 90s costumes to which he only drew 11 issues of. The gold team appeared mainly in issues 1-3, and scattered appearances otherwise.

Re: Rogue PF Yep, did I ever say otherwise or that they weren't iconic in their own way? nope. Just that Lee doesn't deserve all the credit as he drew the early 90s costumes for a short amount of time, Whilice Portracio designed half the team, and the cartoon gave the exposure.

Re: Rogue PF So 8 vs 11, sue me. lol The point he didn't draw them in these costumes as much as people like to remember he did. Also he only designed the blue team. The gold team was designed by Whilice Portracio. He doesn't get enough credit.

Re: Rogue PF Read what I said again. I didn't say that the costumes lasted for 8 issues. I said the costumes as drawn by Lee lasted less than 8. They debuted in #1, he was gone by issue 10 with some fill in art issues.

Re: Rogue PF The thing is the "Jim Lee costumes" as drawn by Lee lasted less than 8 issues. Therefore I prefer to call these PF costumes "early 90's" as opposed to Jim Lee. He really gets too much credit, since half the team was designed by Whilice Portracio. And during this early 90s era...
