Very underwhelmed. B-grade, and extremely obvious this had absolutely no connection to Cloverfield during scripting/filming. Everything referencing that storyline felt very tacked on.
What a great series. I enjoyed the ending, with the allusions to Treasure Island. I'll be keeping an eye on a "complete series" blu-ray box set, for sure.
Wow, so much to absorb from the last episode. This series deserves much more recognition. The first season was a slow burn, but events have escalated very quickly!
Man, the fake tension with Fitz and Simmons about who's a LMD was driving me nuts. Slit your wrists to find out? How about just walking back through the door one at a time, where the LMD alarm is???
Can't wait for season 2. I've read the first 5 books, waiting for the new one to be released in paperback like the others I have.
Season 1 is only 2/3rds of the first book, with a couple of characters from other books brought in early.
So Barry Allen spent 3 months in the new timeline enjoying the company of his parents. So where was the Barry Allen of that timeline? Tied up in the back shed?
I agree. The world building, with the codex and lore, is up there with Star Wars. It's one of the most fully realised universes created in recent memory.
Seriously. A thousand years of preparation to defeat the Master and all he did was spray a couple of uzi's from too far away?
Not even aiming for the head? Where was the sniper shot?
Lame.
Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)
Check out Giacchino's early video game stuff, in particular the Medal of Honor soundtracks. When I first heard those over a decade ago I got a serious early-80s Williams vibe.
Sad to hear, but at least it's a planned conclusion and not a last minute axing.
I'd love them to follow this up with an actual adaptation of Treasure Island.
