Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The Harley expressions pack and Joker-mobile do look very awesome indeed!! :D

It's great that we actually got some reveals from this line. In previous years they've mostly shown new stuff at NYTF. I've been anticipating DCC doing Harley as an expressions pack, it's a no brainier from them really. But that Joker-mobile was totally unexpected! I'm hoping that we'll get a better look at Ivy too over the next few days, assuming the 5-pack will be on display on the con floor.

Two-Face and Scarecrow still remain glaring omissions from the line, and looking at the dates on some items revealed today (Harley expressions coming August 2018), it could be we won't see them in-hand until 2019 at this stage!!

Might just be better paint rather than resculpting, but Joker's one head looks a lot better.

SUper funny accessory to include lol. Wondering if any of you would actually use it?

:wave Here! I'm enough idiot to display her that way! xDDD

Woah, thanks for the pics :) Looks resculpted, jawbone is more narrow and the paint of the eyes is more thin. Looks way more sinister! :D
I wonder if regular Joker head have the same upgrade, didn't checked the regular head details :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Still no Gray Ghost, huh, DCC? Shame on you. I think the Jokermobile's really cool, but I also think I'd much rather have had the Batcycle first.

Yeah its surprising they went with the JokerMobile. I feel like 2 batcycles with a Batman and Robin + motorcycle helmet head sculpts was going to be the next set.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

^ Me too!
Anyway, great offerings. Especially the Harley Quinn set, though I really wish they'd include a Laughing Fish with it since I didn't buy the original single carded Harley and that's the only release it came with.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Love the Joker expressions. I think I'll have to buy this to accompany by Bats on my desk.

That shot also shows to me how horrible the original sculpt was. All other expressions look like they jumped right out of the show. I especially like the evil maniacal laugh and the "it wasn't me, I swear" heads, think I'll be alternating between those two on display.

I've noticed that too.

This is defenitely a new headsculpt, and it looks fantastic!! Best neutral-expression head so far. It's like watching him on screen.

I SO wish they would make this same head without the hat.

Maybe we could all send Kevin e-mails asking it? Look all we've achieved so far by uniting and talking to them.

I'm getting my e-mail ready and sending it next week, after SDCC.

From what we can see on the heads display, it's the same old regular Joker head.

That's why I'll be sending Kevin an e-mail next week asking them to use this new headsculpt with hat to make a new regular head.
I don't think it would be that difficult?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Checking in:
I do not remember a more hectic Preview Night. Attendees were let in ten minutes late, and inside it seemed as busy as any regular day, even though there's only supposed to be about 15,000 people on the convention room floor (as opposed to the 50-75,000 that would be there today, tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday). I went by the DC Collectibles area of the DC booth four times last night, and every time I saw Kevin Kiniry, he was busy talking to someone...for what seemed like forever Ordinarily I would just wait to talk to him, but since I didn't come here alone, Mrs. Griffin and I would go to see something else (Sideshow has some amazing stuff this year, for example), and then come back. At one point Kevin was talking with one guy and there were two other people waiting around to talk to him. We went to another part of the floor, then came back. The fourth time we stopped by, he was gone. By then, three hours had almost passed and Preview Night was over.
This morning, I didn't even think I would be able to get to the panel, because they didn't open up the doors until fifteen minutes after they were supposed to, and then it was another fifteen minutes to get inside with the hordes of people who had amassed around a small number of doors for what is actually quite a large convention center. Finally I got upstairs and to the panel room. Got a seat in the front and waited for the panel to begin. The panel started and they talked about DC Bombshells, they talked about Gotham City Garage, they talked about Harley Quinn Black, White, and Red, they talked at length about their "Artists Alley" vinyl series (I'm sure it has another name, but I can't remember), they talked about DC Cover Girls, they talked about the Animated Series Line (the Joker Mobile can seat four figures "or two and one tied up in the back," nothing else you guys don't already know), then they talked about DC Essentials and showed a video showing the extensive range of movement (basically this is what everyone wanted Icons to be, although it's going to be all Rebirth looks for the foreseeable future) and at the 49 minute mark they finally got to the Q&A, which was immediately capped at one person, as the SDCC people told the DC people they only had a fifty minute panel (they had a full hour on the printed and online schedule). I forget the one question that got asked, but it was not relevant to the topic of this thread.
I moved toward the back and walked toward the door, and there was Kevin Kiniry. Considering they were being hurried out, and Kevin would still have to pack up stuff (he had brought in a box of statues and figures that they were planning to give away to people who asked questions), I did not want to bombard him with questions. He would be very busy momentarily packing up and presumably arguing with the Con people about their lost ten minutes, so I asked him one. To be honest, I wanted to ask him what they were going to do with all the stuff he'd brought to give away now that the panel was cut short, but I asked Batfan08's question about the Gray Ghost, as I had a personal affinity for the late great Adam West.
Kevin's answer "Gray Ghost is currently not planned but we talk about him a lot."

Sorry, guys. That was the best I could do given the way things have been running since last night. If I get another chance to talk to Kevin or Jim over the next couple of days, I'll try to ask more questions, but the DC booth is even busier with signings and appearances and product unboxings than usual, this year, so I'm not counting on it.

SDCC sounds like quite the ordeal, glad I only get to see it via the net!

Thanks for the update S.Griffin, I thought there must have been a lack of Animated Series news as nothing had been posted anywhere in the hours since the panel happened and that is a bit of a shame. Combined with what is happening with the other DC action figure lines (long lead times, changing of formats, multiple character reproduction, and moves to multipacks, etc) this SDCC has really got me feeling that the golden era of this line has past. No news on more Superman or hints of Justice League being started either is a bad sign too.

I still stand by my crazy idea from last year that either Two Face or Scarecrow might never make it before the whole line is finished!

The idea that so many different characters being made was a case of when not if seems to be passing. Could it be that here on it will be a slow trickle of new figures with other expensive sets/vehicles pushing the line along? :(

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Not to thread-jack but for Animated Series fans Eaglemoss is coming out with figures as well, they look pretty good. Nice to see TAS getting so much love these days.

Thanks for the old college try, S. Griffin. Hope you remember to have some fun taking in all the cool eye candy!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It's actually not an ordeal and is usually really fun. The Con people have been ****ing up lately, but I'm hoping the kinks get worked out by the weekend.

Some pics for you fellas.

(At the panel, Jim Fletcher seemed super excited about the Laughing Fish mascot accessory for the Harley pack. Shame it fell down. I'll try to get another pic tomorrow. Should be standing again by then)

Thanks for the pics S.Griffin! The expression packs are looking amazing! As does the Joker mobile, but that one I have to think about.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Great pics - That Mondo Freeze looks fantastic and the Expressions Pack Joker looks soooo much better than at Toy Fair. Instant purchase now for sure, Harley - I am still 50/50

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm totally glad I haven't bought much of this line yet. I preffer having changable faces and now they come. Would have kicked my a** if I'd bought those figures earlier. I hope they will do Catwoman too.
(And where the f... is my Bruci?!)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Mr Freeze by Mondo when will be released? How much it'll cost ?

Probably like $149.99 for the regular figure and $159.99 for the Mondo Exclusive - limited quantity and with exclusive accessories- this if they do the same as they did for the tmnt figures.
