Saw the in hand pics of Batgirl PF. The paint app turns out quite good. I see some improvement there. I hope they will do the same on this piece. What is the chance the final production piece comes close with the prototype?

That's the milloin dollar question (or $500+).
We can only hope she gets the treatment that sculpt deserves. Fingers crossed for an awesome result for everyone.

Yeah I remember the paint app of final production of Poison Ivy is no where close to the prototype. But better than other average PF IMO.

If the production piece turns out like this then I'm probably going to get this one. Pics from the other day with and without flash.

Well surely we've all seen the way her most definitive artist, Frank Thorne, drew her:

And while I certainly wouldn't complain if this piece featured more Thorne-ish endowments, I think it's terrific as-is. Just as long as she doesn't undergo a reduction before mass release!

Spectacular prototype. When it comes to the manufactured version, let's hope Red Sonja retains her sexy red lips this time, along with a healthy skin tone that doesn't look as if she had a run-in with a gorgon and was half turning to stone. Still love that first Sonja statue, but it did fall victim to a bizarre, self-sabotaging coloring scheme. With this new PF, Sideshow seems to be correcting its previous mistakes... and then some!

I'll still buy this even though I know the factor can not reproduce the quality. Let's hope it's close.

Zod, we're just going to send you to take pictures every year. Love those! I love how defined and crisp it looks even with the flash! I mean, that'll go either way later on, but for just getting a better look at it all now, those were some more great shots!

I'm 100% on board for this. It's going to be gorgeous. I REALLY don't see them dropping the ball on this, and as it's been mentioned time and time again, every single production piece this year has been great looking. There are a few more on deck at SDCC (one of the CotD ladies, Powergirl) which are all production pieces on display, and they look GREAT! I think Sideshow really took some things to heart lately and is doing their best to make right. We can only hope that continues!

I mean, Batgirl's makeup looks fabulous, and Machiko's armor is stunning. I'm more than ready for this one to get here, even though it's more than a year away! :lol As for the price, I'm still hoping it lands around $479-$489! I still think it's a bit too early to be going over $500, though the first Red Sonja was $379.99 in a time of $349.99, so if they add $30 to it due to licensing, I could see it coming it at $499.99...still, anything below $500, even by a penny, eases the mind somewhat. :lol

$450

I think this piece will come with the hair as a separate piece which is a good thing.

Oh man, that's beyond wishful thinking (which is kind of sad!) for a price like that. Don't set yourself up for that kind of disappointment. :lol When variants (albeit ones with a bit of different sculpting) of Superman and Wonder Woman come in at $469.99 from $399.99, then that'd be as cheap as this one would ever go up as. I just have to believe in my heart of hearts that they won't bump up above $500 just yet.

I'm just glad I didn't blow my points on something I didn't 100% want :)

I put $80 in points on the Spidey PF, and I'm stoked about that! Definitely best to view points as a great way to get a discount on a piece you love over an excuse to get a piece you think is "Okay" just because you can get some money knocked off!

I also think we're past the days of not 100% wanting something and still ordering. I know now when something is a piece I must own, because it pulls at me in ways that other ones are only, "Eh." Like when I saw Shard from Court of the Dead, I thought she looked great, but I KNEW that I had absolutely zero interest in her. Costs are too high, exchange rates suck, and there's too much always coming out to ever go, "I'll get this...it looks kinda cool."

This one is definitely points worthy!

Ah - memories! (* yes - THAT WAS my intended spelling! *)

And thanks to Zod for the pics - between your post and the Sideshow email flyer pics I am sorely tempted.

I have a couple of GK's of the wee lassee, but this would be my first pre-paint.

Very nicely done - assuming they can keep up the quality they delivered with the recent LOBO.
