How can you not like Lethal Weapon? That's honestly bizarre to me.
Did I say I didn't like them?
I enjoyed the first, just never got around to watching the rest.
Watching Die Hard encouraged me to continue through the box set, LW didn't.
I'll dig them out again one day.

They're definitely all solid sequels for LW. Definitely worth watching.

First half of DH3 is rejected LW4 script :lol

I only like very first LW, even tho sequels are good laugh material.
I love DH and DH2. Freaking LOVE! Great pair of solid movies. Then they went Typical Hollywood on this franchise... :monkey4

Not directly no but if I said I watched the first and wasn't arsed with the rest my inference would be that I didn't think the first was good enough. That'd be me not liking a film.

Not at all.
I remember the Die Hards so was inclined to watch them all.
I only really remember the original LW, which I like, but not the rest. Not even sure i've seen them all.
Probably more incentive to watch them but I hate sitting down to watch a movie that I lose interest in and start playing with my phone.
I will watch them especially after reading the poitivity towards them :)

Yeh, it's been a long time since I've seen them, but I recall LW sequels (at least the second one) as very decent/good movies. Die Hard should've stopped at Die Hard - the whole premise for the second one was absurd, and I can't remember if I've even seen any others.

3 (With a Vengeance) is great. The last two from the last couple of years were awful, don't even bother with those. Willis just acts like himself in them, there's no McClane to be found.

I figured DH would win it even before I made it, but it's good to see so many fans of LW are there that it's hard for some to decide.

It was hard to decide, they both are spectacular. I enjoy Riggs antics slightly more than McClanes.....the Xmas tree lot and jumper from first LW film still gets a chuckle after all this time...great stuff

Yeah, that too. That's probably the first fixed post that I agree with.

I wouldn't go that far. You're watching it out of context. The entire 3rd movie is psychological. Gruber is playing mind games to f with John the whole time. John flips it on him. It's poetic and portrays him as intelligent but still a bad ass. I'm not saying it's the best option, it's just not like what we got instead was masterpiece theater.

nah...
that puts him outside the wrong place, wrong guy at the wrong time... every time context. :lol

Lethal Weapon was the first R-rated film my parents let me see in the theater. I remember then going to Die Hard with my dad the following year and rolling my eyes at "another Christmas action movie" and then was blown away by how utterly spectacular it was.
