Oh man! The spiderman sequences were utterly fantastic. Garfield is perfect as spiderman and pulls off peter as well; although I wish the character of parker was portrayed more like the comic/rami version where he is really smart and a bit more geeky/awkward- but that's not Garfields fault.

A few thoughts:

The ending was a bit abrupt but I loved the message it carried and how it played out with the kid and all. The fight with rino should have been a bit more conclusive, but then again I didn't want the movie to end because I was so enthrawled with the spidey sequences.

I am glad they explained what happened with the genetically altered spiders from the first film, and why the venom only works properly when combined with peter's blood.

I see what they were going for with the Max Dillon character,-a sympathetic, antisocial lonely, introvert who just wants to be noticed and needed, but it was a little over the top and a complete rip off of the Jim Carey Riddler. The scene where he is talking to himself in the mirror next too the picture of spiderman, made me cringe in a way I hadn't since viewing a movie with bat nipples.

If I was editing this movie I would have cut out the two plane sequences, the max Dillon scene I mentioned above, the drawn out conversation between Peter and Aunt May (where she is jealous about his love of his parents and tells him his dad left him for money), and the hospital scene involving Aunt May. All of these scenes disrupt the pacing of the film and even hurt the characters involved (I.e. Dillon and May)

I wish Harry and Peters relationship was further explored and fleshed out before his transformation into the goblin. I really didn't feel anything between the characters, so the impact of the fractured "friendship" was lost on me. They had about 2 scenes in which they actually seemed liked friends, before harry started going ape **** on peter about finding spiderman. The way he was talking to him didn't seem like they were friends at all.

The infamous glider scene was very well done, and sets up a great conflict to come between Spidey and Goblin. I am going to miss a certain character, I don't know how they will replace that aspect going forward- anything new will inevitably be compared and will fall short.

Overall it was a great time at the movies and my favorite spiderman movie since spiderman 2. Garfield is ****ing spiderman! I wasn't 100% sold on him after ASM1, but now I am believer.

2014 serving up some winners in the comic book movie department with Winter Soldier and ASM2.

Saw this and enjoyed it. Garfield and Stone are awesome, and every scene with them was my fav; for me, electro didn't work. I found the backstory weak, as was the character look. More goblin would have been my preference

More power to you Matt. As previously mentioned, I prefer less tears from my superheroes, but thats my preferrence. It wasn't a bad movie, but a few more fight scenes, a little more character developement and a few less emotional outbreaks and it could have been so much more

All legit points, agreed. If it wasn't for my huge Emma Stone crush, it would have bugged me more too....

Very bad.

I didn't mind the way he looked, but I think lil goblin 2 bothered me because it seemed he was only there to kill Gwen and set the wheels in motion for the Sinister 6 in the next movie. But I guess that lends more to a bad story line.

If I could change the movie, I would scrap Electro completely and have Harry's character be present from the start and really build his relationship with Peter. His change into Goblin could then be more gradual and tragic.

The only villain I thought they got right was Rhino. You saw Paul Giamatti at the start and you expected Rhino - kind of like a teaser. Then the idea of Oscorp having built the suit and needing some random prisoner to try it on was more believable than anything regarding Electro. I even think his minimal screen time worked well - less is more kinda thing.

Never seen this movie, nor I will, but I love this scene just because of her

That's actually a good movie, she was pretty great in it, as well as steve carroll, it's not as chick flicky as one might think. It's to bad this is it for her in Spider-man because she's the second best thing about these movies and half the reason why Andrew is so great.

Electricity is ****ing boring.

I like pumpkin bombs.

Just watched MOS again tonight for the first time since the theaters.... I still don't really like it. The first 45 min are the best. I love the school bus rescue (perfect music moment) and the Oil rig rescue. Those were the two best scenes IMO. Then Zod shows up and 1 hour of boring action ensues. Oh well just not my cup of tea.

Enough Superman now back to Spidey. I really want to watch this again. I am usually pretty critical of comic films... Hell Films in general rarely get an easy pass from me. But somehow I was able to look past the dumb Evil German scientist and some of the other silly things. Most of the time films like that don't hold up to repeat viewings. The annoying things become more apparent and start to overtake the good stuff.

But Man I loved how they did Spidey.

To those who did not like the film.... What did you think of how they handled Spidey's look and action? I thought it was the closest thing to the comics so far. As said it before but I really think it was the biggest thing that helped me enjoy the film as much as I did. I just thought they nailed it. Weather it was CGI or the actor/stunt man in the suit he always looked and moved like Spidey.

That was one of my issues with the Rami Spider man films. Sometimes the actor/stunt man in the suit never looked quiet right. Like they were trying to strike a Spider man pose instead of having come across naturally.

Of course loving how Spidey looks and moves will not keep this film above average for repeated viewings if the rest of the film is as bad as some of you think it is.

I hope you are all wrong and were just being critical. :) :) :)

But since I cant really argue for the film other then How Spidey looked and moved and how great Emma Stone is... then I have a feeling you are all right. and I was just in the perfect mood when I saw this film :) :) :)

Oh really? I actually dismissed that as another dumb romantic comedy.... Mhmm.... We'll see we'll see.

I'm just saying, if it comes up as a in home date movie, it's pretty decent, and Goslin is pretty funny as Carroll's dating coach. It's no Easy A but it's decent lol

Saw ASM2 tonight, its late so I'll keep it short. Some of the most amazing visuals and vertigo I've ever seen in a movie. I'm so in awe of how they portrayed Spider-Man. I liked the movie but I can't even critique it right now because I'm so blown away that I just lived in a world where Spider-Man actually existed for two and a half hours. Damn.

I'm glad you liked it. I liked how spiderman swung in this movie as well.

I felt pretty much the same. I loved some of it so much it overshadowed the faults. And there are a lot of them.

Rare Goblin Shark caught :horror

This thing should've been used in the movie. :lol
