Sideshow might have some more in the coming weeks. This being said, i don't know how it usually end up when they are checking inventory. Does that mean they are definitely running out of stock or just trying to determine how many pieces are indeed in the warehouse?

Pixelpiper, try Supernaturalart.com. It's an obscure website but I found my Gandalf statue on there long after it was sold out. I think they have the Dewback for $269.99. Hope this helps!

Nice set-up, Tee-Kay (PS - I was referring to the overall look of your place in my previous post). More Sandies than I was expecting and I love the Cantina enviro (have one, myself).

In regards to the Dewback, it's finally gone? Amazing to me that such an iconic piece would take 2 years or so to sell out.

What amazes me is that there was never any low stock warning in any newsletter. I've always kept an eye out for that, as I was planning on buying, but just trying to push it out as long as possible. It was a timing gamble, so now I'll have to see what I can do with the aftermarket.

Hey Pixelpiper, not sure if you saw my message earlier. It looks like Supernaturalart.com still has this at $269.99. I don't think they are well known but I've ordered from them before with no problems.

Thanks! Yes, I have two...the Desert Sands Detachment Trooper and the Corporal. Any initial shots I take will be with the Corporal...my Deserts Sands Trooper is still out west...in the desert canyons of southern Utah...



....next time I head out there...the Dewback will join him for some pics....can't wait!

I never saw any of those "low quantity alerts" on the product page either...I was taking the same tact....wanted to get it but was holding out as long as possible (trying to accrue more rewards points to use on it). When it ended up in that "checking inventory" limbo, I both called and emailed Sideshow on it's status amd got stock non-answers both times. Just kept checking every day when...one day, it ended up not coming up in a regular search. Instead, it was in "archived", but still had "Buy Now" active...did it, bought it and when I checked again , it was listed as Sold Out....

I'm just relieved I squeezed through that "blast door" before it slammed shut (so to speak)...really wanted to get this and get it through Sideshow. Can't wait to finally see it in front of me instead of just through all of the great reports and pictures in here....

You really did! Congratulations. I was checking every couple of days and getting tired of that "checking inventory" business. I let it slip most of a week and then a day or two back saw it was archived - but still listed as "checking inventory" - today it says "sold out" as you've noted.

I've missed a few low priced sales on this thing and had one sale fall through with a board member, but I'll keep an eye out nonetheless as I've already planned a shelf for this guy, some of my troopers and a Tusken Raider.

Such a nice piece. I missed out on the Sandtroopers, though, and couldn't justify paying after-market prices for them. Now that it's sold out, I think it'll finally get the highly coveted status that it deserves.

Crap, I was going to get this, another month and I would have bought it, too bad. I saw the checking stock status and got a little worried and then it was gone. It would have been expensive to get from Sideshow with shipping and taxes but now that seems to have been cheap in comparison. I guess my Sandtroopers will have to hoof it.
