Thing is, Coulson in the films had more accessories to work with. Banner really had nothing, so why would you expect more? Price, sure...$189 for what he comes with costs more than Coulson, but we do not know what the licensing costs for Raffalo vs. Gregg was. It factors into it. Too many things factor into costs, so i don't really like debating about costs because none of us know since we dont work for HTs.

I think the idea of him coming with an alternate Hulk head and hands sounds good to me. Yes, another head would be more expense. But, considering how bare he is otherwise, I can't believe there was no wiggle room there for them to do it. Quite simply, he's priced this way with these few of accessories because Hot Toys thinks that's what the hard core Hot Toys fans who are into Avengers will pay. And they are probably right. I'm going to.

Nicely said. :clap I always take the licensing into consideration on each thing I buy especially with Hot Toys with the likeness to the actor/actress. They must have to pay a pretty penny for it.

That's all well and good, and licensing plays a part in the final costs... it doesn't make the end result worth the money to the consumer. Even if they HAVE to charge that much. But plenty of companies will take a slight hit on margin in order to match up a product to expectations. OR, you "plus up" the product to make sure the perception matches the cost structure. Again, this is what it is and costs what it costs because of production costs AND what Hot Toys thinks the market will pay. Do not be fooled. Companies do not just price things based on exactly what it costs them.

You can believe that, but I don't. Pricing is based on a lot of things, many, many things. "What they think people will pay" is more of a fan negative reaction to price increases. Thats how I see it. its far more complex why prices go up than just that.. We don't know what stuff costs to produce. None of us know. We dont know licensing fees. We dont know what their artists make, there are probably dozens and dozens of production costs for making 1 figure which include who works on them, salaries, marketing, production, rent, insurance, shipping, materials, every little thing that goes into a company.

Look at Winter Soldier Black Widow is $189. Her Avengers figure sells for a little more than that on secondary market. And her IM2 was even more on secondary markets. So why doesnt Winter Soldier BW cost $220-250+ if you go by "what they think people will pay?"

A lot more things and reasons goes into pricing.

I really don't think it looks like him at all. :(

Depends on the angle. In the other picture thread a few pics with head turned almost portrait style I think ti looks pretty good. The straight on shots, I am not sold yet. I want to buy because I have all other characters from the film it migbt be wait n see approach.

This will probably be still in stock for the next 10 years. Hope HT didn't produce too many of this. lol

Yeah I heard (not confirmed 100%) that SS will only carry preorders +5-10% for replacements/ waitlist conversions on HT's figs (id assume IM is an exception to this though). Mainly because of the few random "duds" that clog their warehouse. And I can understand because why would SS warehouse someone elses product..?

Very well said!!! The sense of entitlement to some of these collectors just so immense that they think they owned the company as if they know how the company is run......

thank you:):)
and why would that be..? you think Sideshow has room for all their statues, 1/6, whatever smaller companies products they carry plus HT's..? it makes sense they wouldn't want to store HT's product (especially with Duds and so many items still "in-stock".. where do you think they get all the space from? ive seen SS warehouse, its not as big as many think

I believe you man. Having ordered that Comic batman PF, I can't imagine SSC being able to carry 7000 of those mofos (box is gigantic).

On another note, I wonder how HT is going to package the Bat armor-Bruce/Alfred set. Will they go the cheap route like this set?

Hope not.

Hope not as well, I imagine it will be the Armoury and batman in a certain designed box (like HOA, or gantry box) then the Bruce and alfred figures boxed like the demon bats and scarecrow set, hopefully

Not sure if this was posted here before, but a photo from Kidult Toyshop gives us an idea of how HT packaged the set:

It seems that HT recycled the styro tray for Hulk, and a vacu-form tray for Banner and the accessories sit on top of it. No sturdy slipcase like that of Demon Batman/Scarecrow.

EDIT: Here's the exterior of the box for the set
