Anyone get paint scuffing on the top of the thighs from extreme posing?

Yes.. but enough about my avant-garde lifestyle.. still waiting for WM Mark 2 to arrive in the UK. :impatient:

Only thing I have noticed is where it says 'LT col james rhodes' has started to fade slightly. So everyone be careful when handling War Machine to make sure the paint doesn't rub off, probably due to the extra weight of the figure.

Be cautious of extreme poses with the legs. This can happen. Paint chipping/flaking

That is not paint chipping, that part is grey plastic not painted diecast. That edge is just getting dented in extreme poses, yes something to be careful of but that is not an example of flaking paint.

I wonder if placing a small amount of wax or some kind of lubricant will help with the parts that are prone to scratching when doing extreme poses.

Just got this piece. Was not planning it at all, especially given the steep price...but I want a "black" armor in my collection so between this, the original WM, or the Secret Project this piece is still the most financially wise choice. Gotta admit that this is not one of those pieces that's not love at first sight. Even after I brought it home and took it out it was just sort of 'nice but not blown away' (but this always happens when you're on your 3rd or 4th IM or Terminator or Predator or Alien...law of diminishing returns I say). After handling it and posing it for a few minutes, however, I was glad to have picked it up. The pure solid feel and the engineering puts it as the best IM figure I have. Seeing how the armor panels and the midsection just separate out give it an extremely realistic feel. Honestly, I don't think the die-cast material made any difference in the appearance of the figure at all, but it's just great when you handle the figure. This piece just begs to be played...and unlike my MK IV which feels kind of flimsy when articulated and also have severe posing limitations so I just leave in standing pose, I'm sure I'll play with the WM alot...as a toy should.

Mine piece did come with a slight shoulder armor blemish...makes me wonder why this seem to be the first IM released by HT to be without 'battle damage' as they must be getting quite a few returns from **** collectors who open the box and see a scratched paint or chip here and there.

At the end of the day, incredible and very playable piece. I still don't like the price....but I guess it's just the way the market is and at least with the steep price increases they are putting out better engineered products.

Got my replacement War Machine today. Everything is perfect except for a small thing on the foot, looks like a dent from something heated touched the plastic. Not a huge deal and not sure I will mention it to ssc after all the issues I already ran by them. Don't want to overstep with the complaints. Just happens all the electronics work and the screws weren't stripped.

I got my new torso but the paint has some chips on the silver and the chest area has some rubs that took the matte off, the arc reactor switch is sturdy but I am still waiting to hear back again because the paint thing is way more noticeable visually than a loose switch, sadly. I could touch up the silver but I don't know how to restore the finish on the grey diecast chest without making it look way worse, so I'll see what they say.

just got the figure. I think HT took a lesson from PI regarding the underwear's articulation. so it's good to have pi enter the competition for the market. I'm now even pumped up to see the final product of iron patriot and mark 42

Got mine in the mail today. I have a lot more hope for the die-cast series. HT made it work well. The neck articulation is of due to the shoulder pieces but it's good enough nonetheless. Really love the figure. I wasn't planning on getting Mark 42 but may think twice.

The diecast adds a nice feature to the iron man figures in the weight. Makes my mark VII seem somewhat weak (still a good figure though). They did a really nice job with the articulation. The leg articulation is again limited but that's expected. Best WM yet and really impressed with the design. He seems safer to handle given he's more durable in certain areas (e.g. waist, arms).

I see this guy is back in stock at sideshow but I'm unable to FlexPay it...why is that?

If you use Paypal, you can do their 6 months same as cash service with Sideshow. So, you get 6 months to pay with no interest and get your figure ASAP. Kind of a nice deal for those of us with Paypal.

BTW, glad to see everyone wanting these getting in on them. Still impressed with mine everytime I look at it. Kind of makes me wish I had another WM version as well, but if I'm going to have just one, glad its this one.

Ah ic, I did not know that. 26 figures in and I've never run into that before lol

I don't think I can use the 6 month feature, I've never had any credit.

Got my WM2 today, need some help with it :slap the screws to the battery compartment for the chest and head is lodged in there pretty damn tight. The stock screwdriver it came with seems unable to do the job just ends up stripping the screw further. Tried a slightly bigger screwdriver i used for MK VII and it doesn't work either. The screw is just too damn weak. I'm not gonna use the light up feature that much but still would like to have it as an option. Any advice would be appreciated here

Otherwise an amazing figure :clap I read countless times about the weight but still wasn't prepared for just how heavy it is. Happy to report no paint flaws on mine and everything is solid and tight, just that in the case of the screws they're too tight :slap (just to make sure, it's counter clockwise to loosen it, right?)

I had the same problem on my chest battery compartment. The screw was way overtightened and I stripped the hell out of it trying to get it out with several screwdrivers of varying sizes. I got a replacement from sideshow, so if you bougt from them, it's a good enough reason to warrant one.
