These are all that made the release.

I do like the blue suit and red chucks, here's hoping we get an alternate sculpt and different do to go along with this

That 12" Dalek is beautiful.

Yeah agreed and it's not remote controlled like the damaged dalek thay that came with the other released CO set

I'm sure we'll get a ton of Tennant and Smith variants or at minimum if they ever get those accessory packs going that were teased a while back.

The CO figure:

The BC figure:

But hang on here, what was the difference in prices between those two, about £150? I got my CO version for £15 full price back when it came out and thats a hell of a lot cheaper then the new BC version, so basically you get what you pay for, and I have to admit the CO version wasn't too bad considering the extremely cheap price tag.

Have to say I dig my CO collection if 1:6. There are 12 in my collection these days.
They vary in quality, but some are pretty damn cool. The Cyberman are as good as anyone could do, and at 15 quid, cheap as!!! VC could never justify a 180 quid cyby.

I would love to see a variant sculpt with Tennant's trademark huge grin (like in the bottom gif above)

One thing I don't like much is the way the glasses sit at the ears. They can't really hook.

Yeah, I'm not in love with it, either. The glasses don't look so bad, but not in love with the 3D glasses. Which is okay, because I doubt I'd display him too much that way anyway.

Yeah why not? That would be fun. It's clear that a blue suit Tennant would sell really well - many of us who bought the first one would buy a second, new HS or not, while lots of people are desperate to own a Tennant. They've obviously prototyped it because we've seen the red trainers.

It was useful to see the prototype from Sep 2012. I suggested yesterday that maybe they shouldn't put any stubble on their figures, but actually, the prototype doesn't appear to have any, or not too much, and it looks a little too babyfaced; the face somehow lacks definition. The solution is definitely to keep the stubble paint but reduce it.

I think Tennant is for BC what Iron Man or Batman is for HT; they can release endless versions and people will buy them. Just because the current release is limited edition doesn't mean all we can get is a blue suit version - look at the DOTD exclusive. Tennant wore lots of different ties and shirts - they could release a version of him in a dark shirt with no tie; they could basically release a couple of hundred of every tie and shirt combination. They could release the brown suit version with a new, grinning HS and different accessories (a K9?). Then if they do 9 they could release a couple of hundred regeneration Ten's, perhaps with a new hair piece at the front of the sculpt. They could also eventually do a space suit Tennant, which handily had two different coloured space suits.

Tennant (and Russell T Davies's) era won't be surpassed for a long, long time and interest in it will always be strong - it's NuWho's equivalent of the Hinchcliffe era. I don't think anyone is going to mind if BC keep cranking out Ten's. I certainly won't.

I still haven't received a dispatch notification. I hope it turns up soon. Why is this process such a nightmare?

Not really. Recently I saw two CO 12" Tennants sell for about £100. They're actually really in demand, lately. Most I've seen is younger people (age 14 to 16) who missed out on BC's and think CO's is a good alternative.

And the award goes to, for the most anticipated and popular doctor who figure for 2013...
Well that variation on 10 will no doubt strengthen sales even further and only heighten interest from various retailers provided they make this next edition available as they did with 11 and Amy...
Otherwise it's another BCS pre ordering frenzy for an edition size that may have something a little extra if they don't go for the signature version next time around
Unless David is happy to sign more plaques again down the road or have something else included to set apart limited and standard editions once again.
Whatever they have planned has already proven to work with the 10th doctor so they really can't go wrong by releasing another version of him.

For those that got the signature edition of Tennant, can you take a picture of the COA or the fold out that shows Tennant with the figure? (unless they stopped doing that)

I'm probably being really overpicky about this but the stand's really bothering me. Doesn't show up too well in pictures but there's a small section that stops. :( Noticeable more in person.

Don't have a camera with me right now, but it has a picture of him signing instead of with the figure.

Mine has a few tiny spots where light glows through. I've noticed this problem with HT too.

Well I'm not sure where you're looking because I just did a search on UK ebay and the highest price I found was £40 boxed and £25 unboxed.

No, no, that's how you write 10 in Ancient High Gallifreyan. Trust me, I studied Ancient Galactic Languages at Cambridge.

Tell you what though, are there any three year olds around who can tell me how to remove that film on the stand?!? I can't do it!
