Could easily take over Hawkeye's spot if he were still alive. :lecture

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

I was really hoping they'd use the actor from DOFP to bridge continuity. If both studios can use the same characters, might as well tie them together.

Okay, I'm probably having a moment, but help me out, whats a DOFP??

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

Doubtful. I don't see Thor commiting fratricide.

No?

Maybe theres at least a scene where Thor looks up and his jawline reminds me of Eric Kramer? That would be swell. :lol

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

Maybe Thor snaps his neck?
If I remember correctly, Loki has done some terrible things in the comics and Thor hasn't taken him out yet.

I wonder if his absence will be explained in Thor 2.

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

I'm sure there has to be an Iron Man 4 I between those two. So is he coming back for that or no?

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

It explicitly says 2 picture deal for Avengers 2 and 3. That means no more stand alone Iron Man flicks which is fine by me. I'm the minority here that I loved IM3, but if Marvel is only making 2 movies a year, I'd rather another character that hasn't been given a shot get a chance.

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

I know it says that but I'm thinking they've got to want to get another Iron Man movie out between those. Avengers 2 is two years away and figure three is at least 2017. They're not going to go 4 years without an Iron Man film. I'd bet there is more negotiating going on.

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

This is what I expected - solo IM films are done (for now) and RDJ is free to explore other projects while still maintaining a presence in the Marvel Universe in the Avengers movies. There was no way RDJ was going to keep making IM/Avengers movies back to back for the next six years. He has other artistic yearnings, as he's said in interviews. I like this solution. Plus, this frees up the year for other Marvel movies. I figured that's why the Iron Man 3 felt like such a wrap-up of the movies. Not because Iron Man was done, just his movie series.
