Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

Kick-*** and Savages star Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks like he might be getting ready to assemble for a certain 2015 superhero ensemble sequel. The Wrap reports that he's the current frontrunner to play Pietro "Quicksilver" Maximoff in the Joss Whedon's Marvel's The Avengers 2.

The news comes on the heels of word that Bryan Singer's X-Men: First Class will also offer a take on the character. In that film, Quicksilver will be played by Evan Peters. Whedon has confirmed that he also plans on featuring Quicksilver's sister, Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch and there's no word yet on whether or not she might also appear in the Singer film.

"We both have them," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told SuperHeroHype of the shared studio rights to the character last summer. "There's a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with 'Avengers,' but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They can use them as mutants and as Magneto's relatives, but cannot have anything to do with 'The Avengers.'"

Marvel's The Avengers 2 is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.

The setup for Iron Man in Avengers 2:

Tony wakes up, tells Pepper about a ****ty dream about some nerd 14 years ago who tried to gain vengence. Makes up the crap about Pepper beating up the bad guy just to get a freebie. Then he hangs out with Banner in the lab until Fury calls in.

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

tony can not power his suit as he removed the arc from his chest, all the mark are destroyed ----------------WTF now-----
cap is upset at tony because he degrades the look of iron patriot and his uniform looks the same-------

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

Fox: Hey! We got one of those funny kids from Kick-***!

Marvel Studios: Hey! We actually got Kick-***.

You seriously believe he can't make more? He made 50 suits in the span of a year.....:dunno

And the arc reactor doesn't need to power the suit. As evident by...****ing everyone.

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

The arc reactor was a burden. The suit was a burden. All of the constraints are gone now, he can create freely.

He now has an arc reactor on little Tony and does freaky robo porn. Singer will co-direct.

"Let's face it, this is the worst thing you've caught me doin."

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

I was really hoping they'd use the actor from DOFP to bridge continuity. If both studios can use the same characters, might as well tie them together.

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

They SHOULD, but they won't for one reason.

1) Becuase Greed.

2) Becuase Stupid

3) Becuase Fox ( which makes 1 and 2 redundant)

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

The most likely reason is the character would be taking place in different time periods

Even if Quicksilver is with the 70's X-Men or Dystopian Future X-Men he wouldn't mesh with the 2015 Avengers, so the studios (who obviously communicate with each other) could've easily said "we'll just have them as separate versions of the character".

Besides bridging the Quicksilver character (or not) between the two studios would be a joint decision between both Fox and Marvel, so both are to "blame".

________

Funny how people didn't get care about Green Lantern not taking place in the same universe as TDK trilogy back when it was in production but do about Quicksilver :lol :dunno

He can, but the point of the IM3 ending was "no more armours just me and Pepper happily ever after" right? otherwise he wouldn't have destroyed them and wouldn't have thrown his iron man powersource/identity over that cliff.

And the arc reactor doesn't need to power the suit. As evident by...****ing everyone.

Maybe that's why the armours were so weak, they need that primary power from the arc to keep them tough, probably would have to make armours with full blown arcs built into them to keep them as durable as his previous ones :huh

War Machine didn't have an ARC in his chest, and the remote armors had no chests at all inside the suits so obviously they have individual reactors.
I think Tony/Iron Man will limited to cameos and Avengers films or team ups.

No one cares except for the lame *** Fox apologist of the board. You should be getting checks from them for spending so much of your life whining about their crap. :lol

:goodpost:

That blows my thinking the armours not having full blown ARCs built in is what made them weak, right out the window :lol

Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)

The new suits all just sort of clicked together on contact, I would guess they were just held together by electromagnetic bond unlike the original suits which were screwed and hinged together in pieces.

:exactly::lecture:exactly:

That's the big difference right there.

He clapped and they collapsed.

At first I wondered why they didn't show each drones's special abilities but then I realized that the filmakers didn't want us to care about them to begin with, they were there as the physical manifestation for Stark eliminating and destroying his chains at the end.

Eliminating other personas and coming back to just Stark.

Also the parallel of Stark using a drone was the same as Killian having his own drone in the form of Mandarin and even Mandarin being a drone of Trevor.

Hell, even PP had a drone somwhere in there i'm just not seeing it yet, this movie had drones all over the ****ing place! :rotfl
