Its like they're just saving money on production cost, and then charging the regular price anyway. Theres no benefit to the costumer for it being a PPS, They should've just gone all the way and make it MMS

Just make the Gemini and Shotgun suits as regular plastic MMS releases and i'll be happy. Drop PPS & Diecast and get back to what made your IM figures great please.

First UK price (that I've seen) is up and its over at Mothers Basement again. £179.99 and releases Feb 15th 2014

Power Pose Series is basically a statue with change out parts (arm or whatever) to achieve a different pose but it isn't a fully articulated figure like the MMS or DX. But this is only the second one that they revealed and were already seeing a change in the game plan. This one has much more articulation than the MK 42 PPS but not has much as a MMS/DX with a $90 higher tag. So it sounds like not even HT knows what these PPS's are supposed to be

it has as much articulation as it could so i dont get why it still falls under the PPS. unless they are made out of some different material like a vinyl i don't see any reason to call it such

it kinda begs the question, why even give them a fancy series title if its all going to blend together anyways?

Let’s be honest, all this Die-Cast lust and “It’s Ironman, he should be metal” is BS. These are not toys for children; they’re not going to hold up to it or even for teens that want to get rough with them. These figures are for Collectors who are going to display them and probably rarely change the pose they put them in. They’ll be put in a cabinet or on a display shelf and maybe get dusted once a few weeks at most. What difference does it make for them to be metal then? Are you going to throw stuff at it to see how much more tough it is now? No. So really going Die-Cast is just an issue of money, a new gimmick from Hot Toys to sell a character that they’ve already done close to a dozen times. And, at the current rate of price increases adding the extra cost of Die-Cast is just causing them to lose customers, it’s a bad idea and after awhile I hope they figure it out.

In the meantime everyone that’s got such a hard-on for Metal figures are going to realize something too after a few months to a year or so, that getting a Die-Cast figure wasn’t as exciting as it first was, especially when that price difference starts to sink in. Not to mention the other problems that will come from metal parts.

This Red-Snapper, metal or not is just another “Milk it for all it’s worth” routine from Hot Toys so personally I’m glad the MKVII will be my last.

Bang on point, but will be ignored by a lot of people because die-cast, well, it's like totally awesome dude, because it's metal, and Iron Man is metal.

The problem with your argument is that many high end collectors DO value diecast higher. Go look at Japanese mecha toys like Gundam and super robots. Bandai's Soul of Chogokin line is a big reason why there even is a high end adult's collectors' toy market today. Diecast adds a sense of premium production. There's even psychological aspects to the toys feeling heavier and more substantial in-hand.

Diecast is crap. It's a gimmick. It adds weight to the figures, sure, it'll also add softer detail and paint chipping. No thank you sir.

I'm not interested in the look of the 42 so die cast or not it was a pass for me. And if none of these "side suits" really stand out and impress me it'll be easy to leave those alone too. I already have the 1 2.0, 3 BD and 4. Just when I thought I was out with the 7 (as my last) .... they pulled me back in with the BD 7 ... That's where I have to draw the line. It would be nice to have another cool villan aside from Monger though.

I have to agree with most of you, at this price point it should have more articulation and made into an MMS, such as being able to retract the claws, come with a tony HS then I wouldn't mind the price... but you have to admit it looks sharper/better than the diecast pieces

no doubt, the die cast pieces look cheap, this looks quality but isn't poseable enough for the price, i wouldn't even want a Stark HS, just some working pistons, removable claws, torso movement etc. but even if it had those i dont like the suit design enough to buy it
