Anyway I have the Rises score on daily, amazing score, shame it didn't get recognized. The chant is phenomenal.

What, it's true? The chant is composed of millions of enthusiastic people just like this,

That was only done in the trailers, the actual chant in the OST was done by people in a sound recording studio.

That misty mountains theme is great! Back to the chant, I watched the "The Chant" featurette on the blu-ray. Which is like 15 minutes dedicated to the creation of the score and the chant in particular. The Chant you hear in the movie is all done in recording booths. That thing you posted was more of an experiment that was not going to be used in the actual score.

I think 'Rises' does not deserve a BP, but it sure as hell did deserve a cinematography and special effects nom. I mean, Snow White and the Huntsman? Really?

That being said I predict Argo wins best picture and Joaquin Phoenix, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams win for The Master.

Because outside of two, none of them were original.

Who Did That To You could've been nominated. Great tune. Made just for Django.

Didn't care much for 100 Black Coffins. Just not a rap fan.

Is Silver Linings Playbook really this good to get this many nods? I didn't see it because it looked like a typical Bradley Cooper love story.

Oh and of course no Batman. I don't care how much you fanboys love it, if you actually judge it fairly and technically, it's a disjointed, poorly written joke.

Silver Linings Playbook to me is the movie of the year and I've seen most of the nominated films. Jennifer Lawrence should win best actress.

Well much as I was underwhelmed by TDKR myself, don't we all have this complaint about the academy pretty much every year? I don't think its just TDKR fans.

The academy if ever rarely nominates superhero comic book movies for best picture. Comedies typically don't get nominated either.
