I had a similar problem, did you try to put the bottom foot in first ? it was much, much easier this way on mine.

Tried both ways and it didn't seem to make a difference, though now that it's in, it seems to be holding the pose just fine.

He's really starting to grow on me, I thought about cancelling this one several times, but now that he's here, I'm really starting to like it.

can anyone take pic of this alongside the big chap 1/5 scale and new calssic pred 1/5
are they all in scale

I have all those pics Dino. I'll post in a couple hours when I get home from work. :wave

I don't know if they're in scale. I thought aliens were suppose to be bigger than Preds. :dunno

Depends on which movie you watch. The Xenos were bigger in the AvP films to even out the fights. This is a debate that always pops up :lol

The aliens are made to look larger than Preds is what I'm saying. Therefore the creature is intended to be bigger than Preds. Actors and costumes aside. I'm basing this off the physical appearance in the movies, the comics and their phsyical descriptions in books of the alien and perhaps taking into account their tails as well.

Don't let facts get in the way of your opinion! :thud:

Hard to put on the base, I had to force the legs about a 1/8 further apart to get the pegs in, which really made me nervous.
tail was a b... to put in, hard to fit into the hole, and it feels more like plastic than polystone.
piece is fairly heavy

I was worried when you said it felt like plastic instead of polystone but after I held it, I think it feels like polystone. :)

I had the same problem. As you can see here...

The bottom foot peg is in the hole and the top foot peg did not match up with it's peg hole. I did have to stretch the foot but I was fearless in doing it BUT not careless and once I got the peg over the hole it jumped in there! No damage to the statue as a result of having to stretch the legs apart. So don't be afraid to do this if you encounter this problem. At the same time DO NOT be careless when doing it.

I noticed on mine the the jaw tendons have a cut in them. You can see the cut here...

Does everyone's statue have this? Is there suppose to be a cut there?

The base is definitely nice and maybe the most impressive thing about this statue. It has a nice weight to it (pretty heavy for how small it is) and the colors on it are spectacular! It has a bronze color with blue metallic highlights giving it a weathered look! It doesn't show up in the pictures but in person the base is very aesthetically impressive!

The tail was tight to get in, but just be careful and persistent and it will go.

And the box art is very nice too! The alien looks like he's coming at you right off the box! One of the best box arts I've seen yet!

Yeah it's where they join the two parts together, sometimes they get it right, sometimes not.
Unfortunately your statue is also missing one of the teeth (top right fang), this would be a good reason to get a better statue replacement with a better joining.

Best pics so far though.

:horror WOW man! I didn't even catch that! Thank you so much for pointing that out to me! I will be calling SS first thing tomorrow for a replacement. There's no way I can live with missing teeth!
