I hate to nit pick, complain( I'm going to be an ____ retentive jerk about the most minute detail because I am spending $200 on a collectible and short of freezing Garfield in carbonite, I expect it to be PERFECT! )

WOW! I the expectations of these figures, collectibles, dolls is rediculous. I've posted this point of view a hundred time, and I know I"ll post it a hundred more. Most of these are at leaset 90% accurate. Complaints about delays and likenesses are nuts in my opinion. None of directed at QC or character choices. QC is a legit complaint and charcter choice is a personal preferrence.

We have no idea what it takes to sculpt and create these for mass production ( customizer excluded, kinda ).
We are not collectible marketing experts.
We have no idea all thats involved with movie and comic licensing.

And please spare me the THIS IS A FORUM WHERE PEOPLE GIVE THEIR OPINION, or THAT HOW IT IS ON HERE, or WELCOME TO THE BOARDS, or WHATEVER OTHER EXCUSE FOR PEOPLE POSTING THEIR GRIEVANCES.

Its possible to offer your opinions, likes and dislikes without sounding like an unintelligent, spoiled brat that is crying because they aren't getting their way.

I'm not singling anyone out and I am sorry if you are offended or feel the need to be defensive. The Joker 2.0 teaser thread was BRUTAL and really showed how ugly and rediculous people could be. Freaks were nasty as hell to each other. I was thrlled when they closed it and the full reveal came. And after all the moaning on that Joker 2.0 teaser thread, almost everyone did a 180. They now love it. I hope this thread doesn't get that way.

Spidey is my favorite hero. And I already posted how I am a traditionalist and prefer the original costume. However, I also posted that since seeing these new pics ( nor even a full reveal ), I am starting to dig the figure. I'll probably get it because I am total hooked on these things.

Sorry in advance if I offend anyone. But I enjoy the works of art and I think most everyone here does too.

I was kind of hoping for that too. It looks like this figure only comes with some hands and a few webs. Here's my really big problem, the R&B Spiderman that came out last year came with a whole bunch of hands (weak wrist pegs but at least they threw in a couple of extras), a whole bunch of web lines, a display base, and a pretty awesome figure that was surprisingly poseable, for $134.99, on the negative side it had no Tobey Mcguire head, which to me was a plus, not a negative. And this figure is probably going to cost $200 or more.

Well in the pic below "30CM" it does look to have something to the right that has been cropped out

People do have very high expectations, especially the joker people, complaining over the socks for goodness sake

I'm interested to see what material is finally used for this figure, the movie costume has the appearance of a basketball (As often said, so nothing new there) but i sincerely doubt that they would have used a heavy weight material to make it. I think it's just patterns to give the impression that it is a thick rubbery, durable suit (i'm expecting a joke in there somewhere)

the Hot Toys figure appears to (So far) have a rather thick material for the suit, which is evident by the bunching up around the arms. I'm worried that this might restrict movements to certain degrees when it isn't necessary. Like i said, it'll be interesting to see if they maintain this in the final production or even the proto pics that we'll eventually see for the final reveal.

looking back at the proto pics for the Raimi HT costume for spiderman, there were changes made so this preview right now could look very different in the end

and for the record, i like the new costume design. Well, we say new, but it's already appeared in a comic long before this, but you get my drift.

Agree with most of what you said, but delays are a legitimate grievance, ask anyone on the Tron Lightcycle thread

I am confused then, not up to their usual standard?

I know all real bets are off until the official full reveal, but just going on the photos we have seen so far this suit/figure has the lines, the shape, the tight fit, the more wiry/slimmer figure, the larger head (it's AG's hair I suspect) the texturing, the pattern and the glossy sheen, even the seemingly dreaded golden eyes of the movie costume, barring minor scale differences.

If HT can actually pull it off anything like this well when in full production, then it will be a minor miracle.

I agree with what u said and maybe the photos don't do this figure a lot of justice at the moment. Just my opinion is that this figure doe not have the "wow" factor from the usual figures that Hot Toys figure. I feel that the shape of Spidey's head and his eyes are somewhere not very identical to the movie version but I bet that the movie will be enjoyable if not awesome.

Wow. I would be in trouble if I were a chick. Compared to some of you guy's posts, clearly I'm very easy to please.

Those pics look awesome and makes me very sic'd for this figure. If better photos get out that flatter it more, then I'm even more happy. I think it looks great and look forward to it being next to my R&B Spidey.

I bought the r/b spidey (my first and only ht and 12 inch figure as of now) but this is looking very good.The r/b spidey i got has a broken ankle and leg mold and the rubber is cut open.This will replace my current spidey and although it's not as faithfull to the source material as the raimi suit is,it looks kinda better to me,compared to the first spidey figure.

Well said my friend and i totally agree. I like this suit a lot especially from the movie clips, trailers shown. The movie is gonna debut later this week and looking forward to Hot Toys Reveal.
Hot toys is really going to go crazy with all the figures they have on hand for reveals....

Dunno why people say that... that they're glad they didn't get the previous/other version... Hot Toys are easy to sell. The Tobey Spidey is already selling above retail today.

actually that's very true. I wasn't really speaking about resale value though as I don't really buy figures to just sell them a year later. But from a strictly tailored and put together figure, this one is the best put together looking spiderman yet. It out does the previous two releases from what we see so far.
