I personally would have liked to have seen the first level of Max Payne 1 remade in Max Payne 3, it would have given newcomers to the Max Payne universe just why Max is so screwed up. It would also feel good to see a direct comparison between the graphics and quality

I Picked this up on Sunday and played a little bit of it. Pretty good so far but yes the cutscenes are getting annoying.... Like MGS4 annoying.

Sent from my iPhone located on the planet Hoth.

I enjoyed it, Its like a great tv show the way the sections are split up. Im enjoying playing a little everyday.
The only issue i have with the game is that sometimes the audio cuts out. Also sometimes when it gets to a last stand Max is in ragdoll mode so you can't shoot back

Can someone please tell me why you can't ____ing skip cutscenes? Some allow me to and others I'm forced to watch. :gah:

Think they are used to hide the loading screens, I tried skipping some and a message stating "still loading" pops up in the bottom RH corner.

Infuriating to have to put up with it. It's 2012, why aren't loading screens a thing of the past, especially on a R* game?

Max Payne has a good story but damn I don't want to be forced to endure it. I want to spend my time firing shotgun pellets into South Americans :lol

I am loving this game and the multiplayer is real fun.

I got a 4 day weekend so I definitely need to give multiplayer a try.

I'm currently trying to get all the golden guns. I think I half of them. I was wondering what they do. I gather they just give you a little bit more in ammo per magazine.

Spoiler Spoiler:

He felt they they were in the same boat, both deceived and back stabbed by a common enemy. I thought it added depth to Max's character.

:slapThe best thing about Max Payne 3 is it's narrative. R* wanted to make the story as immersive as possible. If you only want to shoot something then play multiplayer:dunno

Does anyone understand Max's aging? In the original it says he's young and now 11 years later he's middle aged? Wtf...

I don't think its odd.
Mid to late 20s in the first two games.
A decade of booze, drugs and bad diet, and actively trying to self destruct will age people.
Max looks in his early 40 and like he has been living hard for a decade.

Yep :exactly:. I gathered he was in his early 40's but cos of the booze and drugs he's aged considerably more.

Thanks for using spoiler tags people, i'm cureently starting Part 3 loving the game, as for the cutscenes, they are good and transition to gamplay makes for no slowdown until you die.

I don't expect any answers to this but...

Spoiler Spoiler:

LA Noire is probably one of the most over rated games this generation IMO. But I agree Max is awesome. Best game I've played in years. I'm still loving the single player 5 days after beating it.

The music just grabs you during the gameplay. Like right after a cutscene and the gameplay enters and your hiding behind a wall. Definitely still feels like Max Payne even with the heightened graphics.

I need some help im at the airport stage do wave after wave just come after you I kill like 100 guys and they keep coming are you suposed to run to a certain point.

On medium with soft lock it was actually really easy. I'm going to get hard mode done when I get the time but New York Minute looks annoying with no checkpoints
