Dhaval I finally see your pics. I honestly wouldn't be worried about the tail. You can paint that and never notice. The dome is another story. It's kind of hard to see, but if you feel the defect is big enought then I would try to get a replacement.

Decided to give the guy the future floor polish treatment to give him a more wet look. Had some lying around so I gave it a shot. I think it turned out pretty good. Kind of hard to capture with my junk camera but he is much more shinier now than he used to be. Stuff worked great.

Just removing that front arm from the figure makes the overall presentation better.

A friend of mine is going to let me try something like what I photoshopped here when he gets his. I'll post pics of that when it's done.

Nathan if you can pull it off, I think it's gonna look great. I just pulled out my arm (it's) and put it how you plan to mod it and it looks cool. You'll have to resculpt a part of the shoulder of course....the part where the magnet and connection currently is....but with your talents I'm sure you'll make it look amazing.

Just got a replacement tail. Quick question to those of you who have it, is the tail fit kinda loose?

I put mine in and it is loose to the point where it sorta rests along the Alien's left leg.

Should it be tighter? I cut put some tape around it I guess but wanted to know if this is a common issue. This isn't the original tail that came with my Alien as that one was chipped.

Thanks!

I was about to ask that same question. I just got mine in now and I was setting it up. The tail is pretty loose and leave a little gap between the top of the tail and the lower back. Other than that, im pretty impressed. Its definitely huge and dwarfs my Optimus Prime maquette. I'll continue to look around and check if there are any issues.

Yea it's kinda loose. I don't think it should rest on his leg though. Mine's no where near his left leg. Where did you put the tape, on the the magnet inside?

I don't think the tail is magnetized at all. It is a rod in hole sorta thing.

I haven't put tape yet. That's how I would fix it, just take some tape and wrap it around the peg to give it a little thickness. That way it is a tighter fit when put it in . . .

Okay, so it isn't just me. This happens sometimes, better a bit too loose than too tight though.

The tail for the Alien Warrior Maquette was a mutha to get in, really really tight.

Here, I'm going to just wrap a little tape around it to give it slightly more thickness so the fit will be tighter and it won't "drop" too much.

Compared to the Wolf LSF....I've never seen a better deal than this guy :lol

This is a steal, I got mine for $750 including shipping through a retailer. Even through a retailer, looking at prolly $2100 shipped for Wolf. Won't be long before this rises in value imo, year tops.

yea the tail defn shouldn't be touching the leg. You should be able to slightly tap the tail without it falling out, don't know if that's the case with yours.

Yea I got mine for $750 shipped too. Soooooo glad I did too. When it came around to the time to actually get charged and ship this guy, I was debating in my mind whether or not I could really or should really swing this.

In the end, once I opened up the box, I knew it was easily the right decision. I've been so happy with him ever since. He's truly the standout piece in my collection...and I've got some nice pieces in my collection. Even my most expensive, most exotic and most realistic 1/6 pieces don't come close to the sheer wow factor that this guy holds.
