Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

In my best Brad Pitt from Seven voice, "What's in his ass? What's in his ass?":panic:

Ooooh! I had this same situation in another thread and I'm going to make the same guess here- Prototype rocket firing Boba Fett.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

You're right. I would like to change my guess to a 12" commemorative Statue of Liberty with certificate of authenticity.

SHOE HORNS??? I LOVE SHOE HORNS!!!!!

Anyway, while we are on about proving the superiority of our logic through spell check...

Keyboid. Awesome.

I present everyone with "cirlces"... Pronounced... Sirel-cesss. With optional lisp.

Beaten by who? Is this a competition? You three have run around in cirlces with "yeah buts" in every post.

Yeah, that group had no way of finding the farm. Randall never told them about it because he's a rapist and an opportunistic threat of such magnitude that they're not even safe from him beaten and chained in the barn under armed guard. Consistency warms me heart.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I was going to google something and create a bull ____ story of the misspelling like DP(Dark Passenger not Double Penetration) but I just laughed at all the websites and ____ that have it misspelled as well. :lol

Yeah, Randall never told them about the farm because he didn't know they were there either until he saw Herschel when he was stuck on the fence and Rick took him back to the farm. So what is your point?:dunno

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

My point is that you're willing to take the chance that they don't know about it which is a greater risk than letting a man live who you only know for certain shot at you when he was running with another group, of whom you've already killed two. Murdered as far as they know. You have supposition that the guy you saved was a rapist, and you're willing to kill in cold blood because he's an immediate threat, but you're completely clueless as to what else is out there waiting for you.

In your panic and bravado over protecting your own, you're doing nothing but alleviating a symptom of fear. What you really have to fear is now in your blindspot.

No, you have supposition that the guy who shot at you is innocent or harmless. Using your words, I may be completely clueless as to what else is out there waiting for me, but so are they. They are completely clueless to my whereabouts.

Your blindspot is bigger than mine.:wink1:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I've never assumed he was innocent or harmless. I have made a point of not pretending I know who he is or what he is capable of, which is why I've never seen the sense in executing him. The one thing I know is that he's my sole source of information regarding a major threat, and that it would not be in my interest to kill him because I'm scairt.

Well, Rick did what you just outlined above. Do you think it worked out well? Dale and Shane dead and a horde of Walkers descending on the farm.

The point I am making is that I never would have taken Randall back to the farm because the risks far outweighed any benefits. Besides, I wouldn't trust anything that came out of someone's mouth who was trying to kill me anyway.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Which brings us all the way back to if Shane hadn't thrown his tantrum, Hershel wouldn't have been at the bar and none of it would have happened. That's what happens when people act on impulse in situations that are already extremely dangerous.

But that's kinda irrelevant. I don't subscribe to the infinite chain of blame method of explaining what happened. Dale died because he wandered off. He wandered off because he was a wreck on account of the people he trusted and respected resorting to capital punishment being used as an anti-anxiety pill. Shane is dead because he's a twit who can't intereact with Lori without thinking she's suggesting he'll get her back if he murders his best friend, who he completely underestimated.

And the meager benefits you're talking about that come from saving Randall's life would have looked a lot different once you put together everything that happened at the bar and realized there's a group out there looking to take everything you have, and you left your one chance to know something to the walkers. Whole new problem if you choose to take it seriously, but I suppose not such a big deal if you can convince yourself that everything will be alright. Atleast you know you're not the kind of pansy that would stoop to saving a stranger.

You can say this all you want but unless you are in that situation, I dont think you can say for that for sure. Situations like that either bring out your dark side or your human nature. I don't think you can truly know which way you would go unless you were put in that position. Saying you would just sacrifice a human life because the negatives outweighed the positives is too black and white. I think I would be extremely torn...and whether I would just shoot him there or do what rick did would be impossible for me to predict since I've never experienced anything nearly as dangerous.
