Perfect example of the differences in the Hulks' CHARACTER exhibited in the two films...

Hulk 2003 shows three different emotions on those three different pics.
Hulk 2008 show the same emotion in those three different pics.

I'll take whatever one hot toy's gouges me for ,but like nortons then bana but will take the avenger's version with a norton hs ..dont care for new actor much..Is it true norton's not in because doesnt get along with the other actors? just a rumor heard many moons ago...

Hmmm... Obviously bcoz AVENGERS Hulk looks like THE HULK and 2008 Hulk looks like a verrrrry angry Norton :dunno
Also I can't see much of Ruffalo in this design.

But you seem to have just pulled 3 random pictures from each film and posted them next to one another. Yes, the pictures are different, but. . . Norton Hulk wasn't always pissed (though he usually was), and Bana Hulk wasn't always sad (though he frequently was). Though I don't think your evidence is very compelling, I do agree that Bana Hulk was a more angsty, emo type Hulk. And frankly, I don't think he was as comic Hulk like in that sense. That was more a Banner trait.

I just grabbed the pics from the last page in this thread :dunno

It's been a while since i watched the 2008 film but from what i remember there wasn't many/any moment showing HULK emote other than in anger, i watched the 2003 one the other week on TV, he showed a range of emotions usually sad, upset, angry, caring, determined, contemplating and so on.

That is just from my memory of the differences in his character 2003 he was more a character than a action scene tool of the 2008 one, i'm gonna watch the 2008 one when it's on again next though it's been quite long since i last saw it.

Hulk isn't about anger per se. It's any emotion overflow that makes Banner lose control and makes him change. It's just the Hulk's ability to only be angry to cover up other emotions. A lot of people get angry if they're sad. I was glad to see 2003's Hulk being "sad", having remorse and calming down. But, he was always interrupted and hunted on by the miltary which never gave him the chance to change back.

A mall, I suppose. We had a lifesize Hulk statue in our mall here to support the DVD and BR release.

:goodpost:

I remember at the time when it was releasing a behind the scenes clip of Ang Lee say he "it wasn't just about rage", that there had to be more to the hulk to make him appealing

To me the 2003 showed Hulk as a hunted monster who wasn't a monster, he just wanted to be left alone and had many moments where you could see his thoughts through the CGI, from what i remember of the 2008 version he was just a rampaging visual effect, no real character there or motive, he was there cos of the films title and the need for some action scenes, like how the Transformers characters are handled by Michael Bay.

This talking of the differences really makes me wanna watch the 2008 one again now.

:gah: i'll have to wait til it's on again now.

Incidently, is there a comparison on the amount of screentime the Hulk gets in each film?
