Yea i would say im a pretty big GL fan but i just didnt like the movie at all! The opening scenes CG was soo bad, Transformers 1 still holds up better than that. For me, ryan was the best part of that whole movie and cause of him, im deff gettin HT GL!

I liked the movie. I went and tried to make the most of it. That doesn't mean it was good though. I felt it was all over the place... too much going on, lacked focus and the hole thing with Hector Hammond was so unnecessary. The character did not need to be in the movie at all. This movie would have triumphed if the showed more of the aliens, the corp and if was set mostly in space and in other planets. I'm hoping that's the direction they take GL2 (if made).

Now, if we are indeed getting a Hal Jordan figure this is what I believe we will get:

• Two headsculpts (Masked and Unmasked) (realistically, just one... masked)
  
• A number of different hands with ring already attached
  
• One set of hands with special light up feature ring
  
• Lantern (no light up feature due to size)
  
• Ring
  
• 1 Set of 2 Translucent Green Swords
  
• Translucent Green Gatling Gun
  
• New body with light up feature that imitates the look of the movie. (might be a stretch but I do believe hot toys could attempt this)

Yeah - I think what you describe is probably a best case scenario

I think 1 head probably, possibly no light up feature and possibly only one set of weapon constructs

But hey who knows

I watched the film a second time this evening. I love the character design, I cannot wait for this figure.

I'd be totally fine if this was a barebones, standalone figure as long as the sculpt was great and it lit up.

Cap doesn't come with unmasked version, I am not sold GL will have unmasked version either. I think poor box office sales will affect the license. I doubt any light up feature beyond the lantern (perhaps base) but I agree it will be rather bare bones. If it looks good, I am fine with it.

Cap will have no unmasked version because from the stills they can use that as a selling point for the USO costuming or even the ending sequence where he looks slightly BD and has no mask.

GL will be planned as a one and done type of figure I'm sure. I doubt they'll milk it like the Marvel figures. Not to mention in the last sequence where he is BD, Hal still has his mask on.

A lot of speculation about another Cap figure but I have my doubts. I am beginning to think these summer movie license will max out at 2 figures. Too many licenses in too short a time period IMO.

IM, TDK, POTC, Predators lines are the exception whereas most licenses will produce 1 or 2 figures max. IMO Thor is done and XFC, GL and CA will have 1 - 2 figures tops to meet 4Q or early 1Q release dates. Naturally, I hope to be wrong but time will tell.

I wouldn't be upset if GL is only a masked sculpt, I don't foresee posing him without the mask. I rarely pose with the alternate sculpt but CA is one I would so I am hoping for a 2nd version (after Red Skull).

Some valid points here. HT's already delayed long overdue licenses to pump this ____ out. With breadwinner licenses on the horizon, they'll want to power through this stuff in enough time to capitalize off of the hype.

Pretty much what I am thinking as well. HT has XFC, CA, GL, SP, 89 Bats, MGS and whatever else on the horizon. Assume two figures per known license that is 12 figures for 4Q and early 1Q. I imagine 2012 2Q - 4Q will be full of Avengers, Spiderman, Batman etc. A very tight timeline to expand beyond 1 or 2 figures IMO....

Yeah where is Baby Doll? Assuming GL 4th quarter, Batman 89 probably 1st Qtr, HT will be hard pressed to deliver all of this. Forgot X men (4th?).
DKR will have four figures at least, Avengers four, etc. We don't even know about NEW licenses coming...

Given that TDK had 7 figs and 2 vehicles, I think probably 5-7 figs from TDKR is likely, and possibly more vehicles

I'd be really surprised if they DIDN'T go this route with DKR. Seems that now that the IM2 line is finishing, they'll need their next line to milk a bunch of variants out of.

I'd be shocked if there was another GL figure announced after this. It seems the GL train has slowed to a stop, or a hit a wall, depending on your point of view.

I believe GL has a staggered release schedule. I don't think its been released in that part of the world yet. HT may wait until then to show the figure...

they didn't do it with Tron... and most likely it will be one figure only...

I'm hoping to see a late 2011/early 2012 release, with a Sideshow gift card included with the Blu-ray release in time for preorders. I'd guess the DVD/Blu-ray release will be in September.

Has it even been confirmed yet that SSC will be producing anything for DC?
