I didn't think this looked much like Jackman either, until I saw it in person as a display piece at a shop not long ago and had to have it. Kojun is a master and you can see a different part of Jackman from each angle - the detailing on the face together with the paint app is incredible. Hell I didn't even want a HT wolvie but the scuplt is real nice IMO

Great work dude! Nice photoshop to hide those joints. :clap

I love that this thread is alive and kicking. I drop by every so often just to look at pics and check out all the custom work.

I purchased this figure on a whim (it was the girl in me that couldn't resist a Hugh Jackman action figure ) but haven't even taken him out of the box. I get so many ideas on how to pose him from this thread and one day, should I decide to take him out to play, I will use this thread as a reference.

Thanks guys and keep the thread alive with pics.

P.S. I am a female just in case you're wondering.

Spoiler Spoiler:

Possible. But I don't see him being redone in his lumberjack outfit like we have now. Which is my favorite look for him. I think if he is offered again, it will be in some type of uniform.

I do want a sculpt with the pointed hair though . .

I still can't believe how this figure shot up. Based on Wolverines popularity this should have been one of HT highest edition sizes.

Spoiler Spoiler:

I seriously doubt it. That line will be slim, will have a couple of figures none of which will be Wolvie. I'm sure you'll get more Wolverines in X-Men uniform and in whatever they place him in for The Wolverine but we'll be waiting on it for a bit.

A Nam Wolverine project I'm working on;

Awesome custom! :clap

I was one who foolishly passed on Wolvie, expecting HT to release a DX version later on. Even if not a DX, at least an "X-Men" version with uniform or X-Men movie civilian clothes, but with the proper hair style, and perhaps a slightly better sculpt.

But now I see that you can't take the HT releases for granted. I really thought Wolvie was a sure thing for a revamped re-release. But it's been, what, like 2 years now? Wolverine was one of my favourite characters growing up and reading comics in the 80s (the John Byrne X-Men is still the definitive X-Men for me) so I'm sad I missed out. $170 was a lot of cash for a single, fairly bare bones figure 2 years ago, and nowadays it seems to be the low end of the price range with HT.

My point is, you never know. It's no good to hold out, especially for a character that means something to you. Get these figures at the pre-order stage or right when they come out. If you were on the fence and end up not liking it, you could always sell it. HTs very seldom go for under retail in the aftermarket, so you could always at the very least get your money back.

I'm certainly not going to pay over retail for this figure, that's for sure. There's always the odd chance that he will be revisited by HT in the future, so I'll definitely jump at the chance at that point.

Yeah I also don't think we'll get another Wolverine any time soon. HT will be pretty slam packed with all the Marvel movies coming out, even if he's been in the movies lately. But it sure would be nice to get a pre-Weapon X bone claws pointy hair "Go #$@% yourself" verison with a shot glass and a cigar.

can never get tired of this figure! hope to have Magneto and any other characters from First Class next to him sometime in the near future!

I'm thinking of bashing one with a custom Wolverine head and I need some reference pictures to make one.

Any pictures would be appreciated, although there was a really good one from a toy exhibition/show which I saw the other day with him holding a gun.

:dunno

Although Wolverine did have a gun a couple of times in Origins.

It was a really cool custom though, forgot to save the image :(
