I love the Marmit pose "B" style and wish it was 1/4 scale....and dont forget how nice the Sideshow HCG Giger signed 1/2 scale head was...or at least I thought it was...

Yeah, the Marmit B is one of my absolute favorite statues.

This is how to take a classic pose, and make a collectible out of it.

Well that pose is awesome. Sometimes I just don't get it why on the Earth they feel they need to change the pose in a way when it has no longer have the feel of the creature or the character from the movie. SS's pose is...well I don't really like it. It is strange and doesn't capture Kane's son too well IMO. That Marmit B has an iconic and great pose! Why SS just can't use a simple but effective pose for they statues. Sometimes less is more.

Absolutely beautiful!
I love the Marmit B. It's the only statue I have ever really considered getting.

I loved it so much I bought 2...I cant say that for many statues...If I get a real office executive desk they will be parked on either side of it...This was the pose that I saw my first image of this creature...I never forgot it...I would purchase a 1:1 fullsize statue if it was this pose...

You have two?!
Lucky bastard!
I seriously envy you dude...

I have one of only three APs of that Marmit. I still don't know how it escaped the factory. Pretty cool though. But to others who own this, how do you keep the tail secured?

Wow! That's the first pic I've seen of the Marmit in light. The pose is classic but, put it back in the shadows.:nana:
Sideshow could have picked a more classic pose and I wish they did. I wish they would fire Tom Gilliganhand or whatever his name is. That guy is just trying too hard to make things different and artistic.
Still, everyone hated the Warriors pose when it went up for order but, after it was released most changed their mind. I expect the same to happen with this one.
With that said, I'll most likely order this one and love it.

I agree another instance of overthinking the pose ending up with a pretty static one.

That really is a nice picture and nice statue. How big is it?
Do you know where I could find one of these or do you know anyone who is selling one?

If it was standing up straight, it would be about 12" tall.

These are as rare as hen's teeth, and go for big bucks when they do show up.

Your best bet in finding one is to check Yahoo Japan auctions.
Look for Marmit B.

There are 2 different versions of this statue:

-The original version, which is darker in color, and doesn't have the 25th Anniversary on the base. (this version goes for MAJOR bucks when it shows up)

-The version pictured above (made for the 25th Anniversary of ALIEN), which is lighter in color and has the special 25th Anniv. base. (sells for cheaper than the original, but still big bucks)

Ok thank you. I thought it was going to be bigger than that.
I did have a chance to get a Sega Alien (brown version) for cheap on ebay but I didn't bother. Are they similar?

Since the SEGA is made of vinyl, it has better detailing and is still a great piece. But the pose is a bit static.
It's about 12" tall as well.

Here's mine...

Yeah that's the one, thanks for the pic. I'm guessing these are not as expensive as the Marmit or maybe the seller didn't know the value of these because I think the one on ebay went for like $20.

Yeah, if you can snag it for $20, do it...it's well worth it.

I've seen these go for close to $100 before.

**bit of trivia for ya: The SEGA Alien was a actually one of those crane toy machine prizes in Japan. The machine where you move a crane around and drop it to try and pick up a prize.**

Gotta love the Japanese.

Saw one of the Marmit Aliens on eBay around a month ago for $199. I think it was the original version.
