I take back what i said bout this one. I liked the movie alot and the cliff hanger was awesome. I wish they would have delve deeper into the chris and wesker relationship. It was stupid fun and the soundtrack was awesome. I actually liked alice in this one becuase she wasn't the main freakin attraction and it gave the game characters time to shine.
Wesker was cool, kinda dimmed down towards the end like boijex said earlier.

So this movie was pretty entertaining but overall it was a terrible movie. I will probably buy it in the end cause it is Resident Evil and was a fun movie to watch but I really disliked the RE 4 Game BS the tossed in there for no real reason and they had like 10 plots going on that weren't solid. Still, fun movie to watch.

Question is...why are you rewarding this behavior by buying it on DVD/Blu?? And would you go see the next inevitable sequel??:dunno

Not really. Umbrella has been shut down in the game universe. (which is the game the executioner appears in).

He's a result of a parasite called Las plagas (variation of it) which originated in Resident Evil 4. They don't give a specific origin but there is a pretty run down butcher shop amongst the village with a lot of carved up corpses and a couple tools like the one he wields (Which is basically a giant meat tenderizer combined with an axe) hanging on the walls, leaving you too assume that he was a butcher at some point. Why he wears the mask and puts nails through his head is anyone's guess. I like to think he was trying to get the parasite out of his body before he became too infected, so he started driving nails into himself. Or he was just a sadist to begin with...so he became a butcher to satiate that need. They leave it open for interpretation mostly. Which makes him so much more interesting and creepy IMO.

For the movie I just think a long the same lines. Might be a little harder to believe someone like him is living in LA though...but who knows :lol

Thanks for the detail explanation....that helps...! I saw RE 1 - 3 in the PSN last night...very, very tempted to play the true originals......

I did play RE 4 and remember being very impressed - I just didnt understand any backstory, but that one seemed pretty straightforward: save the president's dtr....

I have RE 5 at home - got it for $30, but am thinking I should play the originals first
