I know buying an expensive piece and having issues with it sucks, but now they are screaming for some custom attention.

Wow that is extreme! So I assume even this one started out to be matching colors before?

Actually I just checked mine in the sun and it's lost some color in the mid-section too. Not so apparent in normal lighting, but there is a good difference if looking at it with outside light. Wonder what could be done to correct this.

I was wondering if painting it with some kind of gloss or clear coating would bring back the shine and make it less noticeable, maybe prevent anymore fading too.

I really want to get a BD too, but I'm just afraid it might have the same issues down the line.

Wow just checked mine and noticed it too. Slight also. Nowhere as bad as yours kanine. But still. I'm scared about what's gonna happen in another year. I wish Hot Toys will take up responsibility for something like this...but I hardly see that being likely. Let's bash it on their facebook page. :D

Mine is fading too. there's nothing to do with it. it's because of the material. very soft and easy-to-move plastic has his own disadvantages. I hope Hot Toys won't make the same mistake on Mark VI (they don't on war machine; I think they also know thier false). I don't think they will get them back because It take approx. 4-5 months for fading. So they won't accept any responsability. I now think to sell mine. But I'm not sure. I love the Mark III armor. I don't like the new one's.

Commercial break.

Now back to our regular programming... :D

My Mark III had some color fading as well, in the waist area.
I sold it to get the battle damaged version.
I like this guy's red color a bit more.

I ran a search, but couldn't find a Mark I Photo Thread. I spend most of my time on Indy stuff, but Sean Ho, my painter in Hong Kong, re-painted a Tony Stark/Iron Man Mark I PF and I thought that it is really good, so I thought that I should put some pics up:
