I'm planning to pick up more Aliens and wanted to know what are the going prices for MISB and ones that have been displayed with no problems.

Well, I wouldn't call the NECA or McF "medium-quality", for their prices they are fantastic figures. The McF one comes with a very nice base and three face-huggers and is very sturdy. The NECA one is HUGE and is (along with the Medicom figure) the most accurate you can get.
The McF one can still be had for under 40 I think, as well as the NECA, and for that price you just can't go wrong, especially with the NECA figure, it's really great.
The Medicom can be found for under 150 if you look around and the HT is 135 right now in most places.

It's just a matter of taste and how much you want or can spend right now.

Sounds like McF is the way to go for 1/6 aliens right now for me. Perhaps I'll get one or two and then try to find a cheap used HT later on...

Man I wish I'd grabbed a few of the exclusive Brown AVP Alien. I may be in the minority, but I still want an Alien Resurrection alien.

Ok, so before someone gets this thread truly back on topic, I wanted to say I found a McF Alien for $20 with $7.80 shipping!

But someone snarfed it up within about 15 minutes of when I first saw it, and it had 6 days left to go on it... now the very cheapest one I could find was an auction starting at $15 with like 9 days left, and like $12 shipping (we all know that's gonna go up to like $20 and stay there for a while, and then 3 seconds before it's over it'll end up being like $110 or something)... cheapest buy-it-now is around $50 plus shipping... most expensive is about $83 BIN....

To think, I could have gotten my Alien collection started with only 28 bucks.... Was it anyone here who robbed me of my dream? The way to tell is if you bought a McF alien off ebay yesterday for $20 buy it now...

I can't really afford to get myself a $50 gift right now, what with x-mas presents for people and all...

Oh, that would be the 12 inch one... or 12 inch scale, don't know if the Alien itself is actually 12" or not... and the one that isn't the "grid alien", the one that looks like this:

Regarding the dog alien, I still like the kit from Halcyon the most...

yeah it's awesome. probably because halcyon was on set/in studio and had direct access to the actual props and used them to design the kit.

i've had mine since it came out and i can't even have it in the same room as my ht dog. it hurts too much.

edit - i wonder how difficult it is to scale up kits to 1:6... i mean there's a 1:6 queen based on the 1:12 halcyon kit.

That's not a bad price.
There's also two variants, one with blackened dome and one with foggy dome.
Oh, and it is a mite small for my taste, not quite 1/6 scale but it's bigger than the Medicom figure.

Yeah I'm pretty stoked about getting it. I was really turned off by the ES. But it's just such a good looking piece that I was willing to deal with the high ES.

I read that and I started flipping out! My first thought was "noooo!!!!", then "why does this always happen to ME?", then "Damn you, abake! You evil SOB!"

... And by then I had finished scrolling down... My next thought was "...oh."

You got me good! I still unfortunately have to thoroughly check my available Xmas funds before I buy 1... I'll have to do that tomorrow! I'll plan out a list of what to get each person, and a price range of how much it should cost... Subtract that from my available pocket cash and maybe I'll scrounge up enough cash to get one...

If only Santa were real and would give every one lots of .... Aliens... Oh well! (oh wait, why is Santa so skinny? And why is his head so long? And why does he sound like a large snake breathing? And why can't we see his eyes?? Why is he drooling?!?! Ahh!!!
