Lol well, that was my fault honestly. I waited...BUT in the end I still got her...maybe not easily, but still did it! :lol

So what's your rationale for waiting to order? If it's to accumulate more reward points before doing so then I get it, but otherwise I don't follow the logic on this one. HT has already delivered good Lizzie Olsen production sculpts three times now, so the odds of this one turning out bad are pretty low. If you like the figure's overall design IMO it makes sense to lock in your order now.

Nothing wrong with waiting, this isn't going anyplace for 18 plus months and i'm not going to get her any sooner if i order later. i put her in my wishlist and will order whenever. Might get her and Bo-Katan for free at the end of the year with points.

If you know you're going with Sideshow then that makes perfect sense - just remember to order them before a lot of those points expire at the end of the year. :lol

Just read an interview where the director of WandaVision said that Olsen loves her new costume and that she had a ton of input into designing it and helped with the functionality. It might not be going away anytime soon.

There will be a whole lot of pre-orders dropping off the radar over the next 18 months. With nearly 2 years till release (bcz it will no doubt get delayed) many peoples impulse orders will be cancelled i?m sure.

I doubt it will be going away, but it will be tweaked slightly.

Exactly. I usually never pre order figures until it's out in Japan already. So far I only almost got burned with the Hush Superman from Prime 1 doing that.

Makes sense. From what I've read, she hated having to wear the corset in the CW costume.

That's been my approach for years as well as I like to see how the figures actually turn out first, plus for a long stretch Hot Toys would only show a blurred out image for the portraits. That, and with characters changing across the films and series faster than Hot Toys can release product, I'd rather not commit 18-24 months in advance. It was different for classic retro releases like the DX Batman and Joker who you know will stand the test of time.

But in this case I made an exception and pre-ordered immediately. If nothing else it'll be a good test to see if it makes any difference as to where I fall in the queue of receiving the figure from Sideshow.

I just watched the behind the scenes documentary about the series on Disney Plus and it reminded me how much I also want Hot Toys to do Wanda in her classic Scarlet Witch Halloween costume. If it was an Iron Man variant it would be a done deal, but I'm wondering if Hot Toys will be willing to do Wanda variants from the show. Hopefully they will, as Elizabeth Olsen looked incredible in the classic costume.

I think it is going to happen. Just give them time. Could be a Comic Con exclusive too, but it certainly brings the comic book look and a lot of people would want that even more.

I think the major difference with the iron man figures is that many are just repaints. I still think the halloween costume will happen though.

I think seeing her forehead depends on the angle of her head.

Depending on how much I like a figure, I'll either preorder early or wait until the final product photos are released. In this case, I really like the costume design, so the odds of me liking the final product are high. I also had some birthday rewards saved up from Alter Ego, and combined with their limited allotment selling out quickly, it made sense to lock in a cheaper preorder now rather than wait and have to order from Sideshow for more later on.

That said, I still really dislike that HT went with sculpted hair (my one gripe with the release), but it's also the best sculpted long hair I've seen HT pull off (that's not saying much), so it's not the worst thing in the world. Still, I'll wait to see the final figure before deciding what to do about the hair situation.

In other news, my X-Men: Apocalypse Magneto figure might finally come out of storage for a family reunion :lol

It would be cool if they included a clear stand for the book and if she could achieve this pose:

(Headpiece matches the Hot Toys figure here, too, fwiw)

Well, preorders rarely sell out anymore and this one is more than a year away. Moreover playing the preorder game can be kinda dangerous since HT's track record can be spotty on the final product. That, coupled with the fact that I'm not a big fan of giving businesses an interest free loan are all the reasons I need to not preorder it at this current time.

Anyways, if I end up missing this one I won't be too worried. I'll just hire your granny neighbor to do a porch pirate job for me! :lol
