Leto's Joker, Manganiello's Deathstroke, Heard's Mera teaming up with Batman in Zack Snyder's Knightmare future. Oh hell yeah. And then they'd be joining Cyborg's torso and Barry wearing his redesigned Knightmare suit as well. Obviously whether we get any figures out of that depends on how well ZSJL performs. I'm very bullish on that though.

Can't wait to see how Snyder will work with Leto's Joker.

I just hope he gets a design change. His design is the definition of try hard

If the HBO max stuff beyond the Snyder cut is true then I'm very excited at the prospect of more Batfleck figures from Hot Toys.

Hot Toys will take every opportunity to release another Batman and maybe some others for sure....whether you want them or not.

And this ladies and gentlemen, is why I Kitbash and Customize to fill out the roster on my shelves.

This is the future now. How I wish we could vote them out.

I'm telling you - every time someone complains on Facebook or Instagram about Cosbabies or where's Gamora, Hot Toys drafts up a new cosbaby and Iron Man repaint.

In the end I don't really care. Any money I would have spent on Hot Toys I'm now putting into JND studios work. Pieces I won't be selling and pieces where you can say 100 percent the likeness is on.

I'm sure they'll get around to making more DC stuff, probably not near future, but I'm sure they're also doing really well with this new catalogue as well as their 1/6 and 1/4. All I can say right now is a lot of it isn't for me, bit of a shame because the excitement of getting new reveals is great, I'm guessing also this is partially what a lot of people miss. Exciting reveals for them.

EDIT:

Just realised how bad it has gotten, I saw the Hot Toys symbol and honestly mistook it for a Marvel logo...

It's not even a Marvel event, it's a Hot Toys event. It is that bad.

I saw someone post what they released for the 10th anniversary of Hot Toys... My God.

I mean I'm not fully on board with the hate Hot Toys gets in other regards. For me I think they release/reveal a lot of new character every two weeks, and for how many they're pumping out it's a lot more than what they used to. I actually preferred collecting years ago because of how fewer releases there were, each one felt special. Now with how many new ones there are it makes it feel like if there's something you don't like that they're just doing stuff you don't like, which isn't the reality at all.

But with context in how much they're in bed with Marvel/Disney, to have their "big" 20th reveal be a repainted Iron Man and a plethora of cosbabies is insulting. People I'm sure know my stance, especially in this thread, but if ever there was a time for a company, and particularly Hot Toys, to give back something to the fans that helped get them this far this time would have been it.

I think they're at a tipping edge potentially now. Go on KGHobby and you can see Endgame Black Widow can be added to the buy now basket and is already at a reduced price. For some reason most of the Endgame line are still on pre-order etc. I have mine on pre-order, but to get my deposits back I'll go through with final sales and then sell them on. I wonder how many people like me are looking at statues now or going down other routes, or just plain turned off.

They do need to wiseup, some things can be taken as a given and part and parcel. But when you start to combine the feeling of being left out, the long wait times, no direct dialogue with the customers, heavily pushing lines that aren't your main line, heavily pushing brands more than others, repainting/revisiting the same brands instead of investing in others, some key fans I imagine will start to turn sour. I don't know how many of them would for it to impact Hot Toys, I don't think they will be impacted to be fair. But the vocal online voice across the year has really started to turn sour across all their social media platforms.

Yikes.

Obviously figure production like this takes a long time, and the business can't re-orient itself on a dime, but I think if HT had maintained some diversity in their product line prior to 2020, they might have been able to fill the COVID movie dead zone with stuff like Batman Returns, The Matrix, or Terminator: Dark Fate (I know this wasn't the most popular but it remains the best Terminator film since T2, and I would buy a Rev-9 two pack on a second).

Although I have zero interest in figures from Schumacher films, the fact that Batman Forever figures haven't gone up for preorder is puzzling. Seems like an easy way to fill the gap related by figure announcements that have obviously been delayed.

Yep. I would absolutely love Pfeiffer Catwoman as well as Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and Agent Smith. I'll probably end up nabbing the ToyWorks unlicensed Matrix figures.

I missed the Nolanverse releases (couldn't afford them back then) so TDK 2.0 would be nice, too. I seem to recall reading there were issues with Catwoman's mask and catsuit in the original release.

Well said :clap

I've actually gone the custom route. It's definitely more time consuming and expensive, but in the end, I end up with something that I'm really happy with and will hold onto.

Yep. I've been spending the majority of my money this year on customs, upgrading existing figures with custom parts, or third party kits. The rest of my money has been going to Sideshow for their DC and X-Men figures.

I only placed two HT preorders this year; 2099 Spidey, and Miles. Unless they announce Peter B. Parker, I dont see myself adding any HT POs for the remainder of the year. In fact, the only othrr figure that I know they'll make that I am sure to order is Jane Foster Thor--and that's years away.
