I don't blame her for that stance. Really all Disney cares about is money and their own radical political/social agendas which is why I have very little faith in any of their franchises going forward.

I'm just glad that we got Endgame before the whole thing went off the rails which honestly looks exactly like what we're getting for Phase Four and beyond.

I'll be more than content if we never see Spidey in the MCU again or hell if we never even see the MCU itself again.

Exactly my thoughts. Infinity War and Endgame were a perfect end to the MCU. I'm glad that key characters are gone so that the temptation to keep trudging along is minimized. With that said, as soon as Phase 4 starts crapping the bed, I can totally see some alternate timeline stuff with Tony and Cap... Ugh.

1. Disney/Marvel are disgusting for profiting off Spiderman but then she says that Sony has the same intentions but that?s ok.

Just watch the featurette "Remembering Stan Lee" on the Endgame blu-ray. You'll totally see a man who was taken advantage of, disrespected, and not really a fan of the movies made by Marvel Studios.
There are strong rumors that his daughter was a part of the elder abuse that surrounded Stan in his later years, so I'm not overly concerned with her opinion.

What sucks is that we all thought the MCU was fool proof, then this happens. Ult?mate slap in the face to all of Us! We were so invested in this now that Phase 5 will completely change the formula for success, without spiderman for now.

Yeah who really knows how anyone really is behind closed doors but when she said she was angry that Disney only wants to commoditize Stan's legacy I was thinking of things where they denied the the one grieving family a Spider-Man carved headstone for their young son who died because "We don't want our characters associated with death" while simultaneously greeting every single park goer with a statue of a dead guy standing next to Mickey Mouse as soon as they walk in.

Was she not there during the amazing Spider-Man days. Did she not see how absolutely shot they treated the characters and director and wouldn?t let him complete his vision in favor of listening to hack Avi? Sounds to me like she just wants some attention. Or further say in the movies. What Sony has done to the franchise is about as corporate as it gets. It?s absolutely insane how anyway can look at Sony and say they are good for spidey when they almost destroyed the brand.

Gotg, cap America made more than amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014. That is a no go.

Calm down Wezzy. I love Spider-Man too. He has more good movies than he does bad.

Off the top of my head, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Verse, Home Coming and Far From Home all range from decent to great. His cameo in Civil War is good too.

The only real stinkers are ASM and ASM2. Even Spider-Man 3, while a massive disappointment after 2, has some decent moments and charm to it.


It’s not all doom and gloom. Basically, Spider-Man on film has had it pretty good overall.
