Thanks for taking a bullet for the team, Celtic! Really does seem like such a stupid premise, as has been pointed out. I agree with your idea that it would work better as a satire.

My brother asked me to take him and 6 of his high school friends. :lol

So I kinda got roped in. I almost tried to enjoy it at the end....but the lack of gore made it kinda dull.

the thing that makes me mad is the waste. The waste of money, waste of talent, waste of resources.
Like, Couldn't they use that money for something better? couldn't they rewrite the movie to be better?

I know they had a small budget, but couldn't they make it less cheesy and predictable?

Seriously, why do these movies need to be so predictable? It is almost like this unwritten law in Hollywood that horror movies must be predictable and cliche or something....

Superb little film with a lot to think about afterward 8/10. Very John Carpenter-esque and then I found out the director of The Purge actually directed the remake of Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13.

Zero tension in this movie and a lot of characters acting dumb. Could have been pretty good though.

4.5/10 and that's mostly for the sexy school girl outfit clad daughter and Lena.

Production budget: $3 million
Box office collection in 3 days: $36 million

Guess there will be a sequel now.

For what!? If they made bank with that formula what incentive do they have to change it? If there is a sequel expect more of the same.

well, They cannot expect to do the same crap and hope people go see it.

They are going to have to change something... At least change the setting... Instead of a house why not a farm?

instead of a family why not a fraternity? instead of one homeless victim why not a group of girls?

instead of a group of killers not just one killer that goes after them one by one?

:dunno

As a satire, sounds interesting, but that would take talented writers and a good Director.

It sounds like this movie is exactly what I thought it would be, Murder Porn, done badly.

The thing is, is this movies creators know who it's audence is,17 year old boys. It never needed to aspire to anything more to make the quick buck, and I am willing to bet that the intended audience will enjoy it and come back for more.

Because that's already the plot of Halloween 5.

Actually I was just describing the most generic slasher plot I could think of :lol:lol:lol:lol

Since the first movie was so pathetic, I would at least like to see them change it a lil' bit.

That ****ing kid. I couldn't take him. He reminded me of
