Yep, thats the one. Put it on your x-mas list of just go get it yourself... its worth it.

The Vauly only covers merchandise... if you want all the official technical stuff you need the Encyclopedia.

I'd think that showing a display of all the 12" Star Wars figures would be far cooler than the 1999 disco Jedi robes for your Hasbro dolls. But that's just me.

This I definitely agree.

Didnit know about the existance of this book, am keen to pick one up.

Sounds interesting... just as a fun read.

I have the "Star Wars Action Figure Archive" and its a favorite. Just has great information on the vintage figures and the modern figures up to the point it was published. Used to use it as a coffee table book and people were always thumbing through it.

There is a 2 pages article in the latest issue of Insider about this book. I am sure this book did really be an enjoyable read.:emperor

as a guide its pretty nothing but as others have posted to see some weird and wonderful stuff - it works well and you might as well add to your star wars library, has anyone got the Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles Hardcover ??i curious to see if its worth the cash

It sounds like this book is about the vast DIVERSITY of Star Wars collectibles, rather than a best of. As far as that goes, the fact that they included one of SS best statues, the Grevious PF, makes a lot of sense. It sounds like a decent book.

Star Wars: 1,000 Collectibles: Memorabilia and Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away is one of the coolest Star Wars coffee table books produced in a couple years (probably the coolest book since the Star Wars Vault). The book takes the reader on a journey through cool and kitsch, from toys and costumes to life-size statues made of LEGO bricks to consumer goods such as candy, clothing, toothpaste and much more.

Drawn from the largest private Star Wars collection in the known universe, this stunning treasure trove of memorabilia and colourful anecdotes mixes fun with nostalgia, delighting both the casual fan and the serious collector. Since the first Star Wars film opened in 1977, George Lucas’s epic space fantasy has become not only one of the most successful entertainment franchises of all time, but also an obsession for collectors around the globe, who have spent more than $15 billion on Star Wars merchandise. These collectibles range from the offbeat: C-3PO tape dispensers, fan-made bantha pinatas, and Darth Vader popcorn poppers; to the everyday: Boba Fett cake pans, Yoda PEZ dispensers, and “Cream of Jawa” soup. Here for the first time is a chronicle of the constantly expanding, all-encompassing, often-surreal lifestyle of collecting Star Wars, filled with incredible stranger-than-fiction stories from the galaxy’s foremost collector.

Basically its a compilation of photos and stories about the strangest and weirdest Star Wars related collectables, both officially licensed and fan made. Compiled by Stephen Sansweet, the head of fan relations at LucasFilm, and a huge Star Wars fanatic in his own right (he curates a personal museum of Star Wars memorabilia), this book features some really crazy Star Wars items you never knew existed. Available on Amazon for around $23.
