You can, but he ends up looking like Gort. You can try with a narrow shoulder version and see.

No. you have the standard TT, the narrow shoulder TT and the small slim TT. Go with the narrow style. Or a saturday toys if you can find one.

Okay before I do this, this going to make Snake's look less skinny, beef him up so to speak, correct ?

Even with a TT he will still seem a bit skinny cause of the skin tight shirt. But there are ways to beef him up.
I'm just going to hope that after Duke and other new figures ship that the Pro 1.2 will become more plentiful. Then I might pick one up for both SE and SS.
