Do you plan on enclosing the statue in plexiglass or leaving it open on the top?

No he’s way too big to go inside. I’m putting the Decepticon logo behind the frosted plexiglass.

Shockwave will sit on top. There’s only a 5” space all the way around because his base is 26” the top of this is 36” so 5” on each side or in a 360 degree circle.

The logo is drying now as I had to use clear plexiglass tubing to make it float. Honestly if it looks bad I’ll do a sticker on a plexiglass square or if I can find a shop to make it in the outline of the shape put it on there or even cut a nicer one. Jigsaw isn’t perfect but close so I made the mount and everything just waiting for it to dry for a day. Here’s it drying after second coat. No lines after it dries. The top is not perfect but an inch off the glass you won’t notice.

It has other imperfections but I’m not a CBC machine lol.

I think that is not TLK version. I think the photos posted on the SS site and Prime 1 site are the first and only ones.

I’m not 100% of course but I think so. When I started this thread it was more as a question of the photos I saw and not official like the rest usually are for new releases.

He was next to the red Drift on the display, to the left, pointing his cannon with his right hand and holding the hammer in his left. I think Optimus was to his left with the sword on shoulder pose.

I agree with your opinion.
To me, the new bases steals some of the focus away from the statues.

I'll admit. I like the new base.

I think it ties the piece with its base together more.

Optimus was not too bad to assemble as most really is the decorative parts. TLK Optimus is the only piece I own or taken delivery of.

His head can rotate some and his blade hand can as well. Not much else does that I have tried since I don’t touch it except to show it or clean it but I’ve not had to clean anything yet. Room is pretty spotless as it’s upstairs and alone on its own AC. I’ll admit the fan it dusty however lol I’ll put a great filter on it after I saw that.

I think it all depends on the character. I don’t expect Megatron to be as bad as say Shockwave but B.B. looks like more pieces.

Is the assembly usually really tough on the Prime 1 Transformers? Does Bumblebee have a million parts like the Iron Hide statue? Do they key in by magnets or pegs? Are the parts articulated, like in some previous ones, you can rotate the head and hands?

Typically, they're a mix of pegs/magnets and in some cases, the parts are articulated. It really just depends on the piece, TBH.

Gotcha, thanks. One thing that looked weird on Optimus that has kept me from getting him is that the shield attaches onto his forearm and he doesn't look like he's holding it in hand. Does it do that in the movies?

STart of the films he’s floating in space and it’s just stuck on his arm like the statue. I never paid attention to the rest.
