you have the best list mate but you forgot 300 on there:D

thats to bad maul 'cause if you liked gladiator you would've liked this one.

:D

I love Gladiator. I though Leonidas was as cool as Maximus, but the style and ammount of the CGI speed effects just pissed me off eventually, too much, just when you'd be excited about a heavy fight, it'd come to screeching halt for slomo and kill the buzz. I think Gladiator found a better mix of slow-mo and regular speed action.

I never got why people didnt like 300. I know, opinions and all that, but it is what it is. Mindless gore, and fighting, with great images. I dont know what everyone expected...but hey.

Same with Cloverfield....its all about a monster in new york. Nothing more.

The Slo Mo was to mimick comic shots. Slo mo is awesome...I dont know why everyone is always agenst it. It stops time to show something intresting. My take on it anyway.

:lecture.........

I'm not against it, at times it's great. Like I said, I just thought if they'd done it 50% of the times they did in 300, would have been more interesting, and since I know nothing about the comic, it really boils down to pure cinematic experience for me.

Batman Begins. A very strong and beautiful score, more so than its sequel.

Eh. I cant agree. Im a total sucker for slo mo. If some dude jumps in the air guns blazing and the shot just slows down to show everyone getting destroyed with blood everywhere...I just get giddy. Which is why I loved Wanted to much. :naughty

If done right, slow mo can be awesome, like some of the shots in The Matrix movies for example. I just found 300 felt like 80% of the movie was slow-mo, like I actually got bored with the movie because of the pace it caused in conflict with the fast pace of the regular action. Perhaps if the slow-mo in 300 hadn't been riding such fast paced action between cuts, it would have sat better for me, but for me watching it, the fast stuff was like going 0-60 in 2 seconds and then the slow-mo came in like a brick wall and I crashed.

I always here it, and everytime I watch it, I never notice. It goes slow, then fast, slow, then fast...so eh.

I agree with Maulfan. Gets really annoying and made me really dislike the film

I was looking in my Itunes lately and I completely forgot about Big Fish and Corpse Bride from Danny Elfman. Great scores

I hope you don't mind that I have restarted an old thread but I think this subject is always interesting

Mine are

The Dark Knight
Conan the Barbarian
All the Indys
All the Star Wars especially Empire
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Star Trek 2
Predator
Bladerunner
The Mission
Rocky including 4
That's all I can think of at the moment. But because of the Indiana Jones Teaser I have been listening to Children of Dune which is amazing

Kill Bill Vol1
Kill Bill Vol2
Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown
The Dark Knight
Predator
Predator 2
The Running Man
Commando
True Lies
Zombi 2
The Punisher (2004)
Jurassic Park
Day Of The Dead (Original)
The Green Mile

Terminator / Terminator 2 (Brad Fiedel) [Didn't like T3's score at all]
Batman Begins / The Dark Knight (Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard)
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Howard Shore)
Superman the Movie : John Williams
Batman / Batman Returns (Danny Elfman)
Edward Scissorhands (Danny Elfman)
300 (Tyler Bates) [I do need to get round to listening to the score it was allegedly plagiarized from though)
Pans Labyrinth (Javier Navarrete)
The Shawshank Redemption / The Green Mile (Thomas Newman)
Transformers the Movie (Vince DiCola)
Robocop (Basil Poledouris)
The Rock (Hans Zimmer) [ Love the track "Hummel Gets the Rockets"]

There's loads more, I generally listen to scores more than anything else now.
