There you go...you've only been reading since HoM, you read on and off, and no main Avengers comics, he's an Avengers villain. So you missed his stories, that's all.

Gotcha, but since he's not been in (m)any of the big events, he's hardly an A-Lister in the Marvel Universe.

It would seem he's an A-Lister for the Avengers series but not for the universe as a whole like Norman Osborn is.

He looks to be very self contained, at the level of Electro or Sebastian Shaw, a key villlain for the appropriate hero/title but not a villain that's dealt with lots of different heroes in different books enough to be known universe wide, like Galactus is.

Lol if, anyone needs ultron PF ex or reg now. They are both much cheaper than retail. A couple at 100.00 cheaper than retail! Great deals. If this one comes out I will wait for the aftermarket to save a few bucks.

But the Avengers themselves is a collection of heroes who have their own titles. He's also clashed with the Fantastic Four & Guardians Of The Galaxy. He was the main antagonist in the cosmic crossover "Annihilation Conquest" & will be the center of the Marvel event "Age Of Ultron". He'll always be intertwined with Marvel characters such as Vision, Hank Pym & Wasp.

If Ultron needs to be known universe wide to be an A-lister then by that logic, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Loki & Apocalypse are B-listers as well. If trying to eliminate all life in the universe (Annhiliation Conquest) & killing a whole country's population & fighting the Avengers to a stand still doesn't make you known in at least a good portion of the universe, I don't know what else can.
